Smashing mistake
A US teenager has been jailed after smashing into a car he thought belonged to his girlfriend.
The unnamed 17-year-old from Pinconning, Michigan, rammed his car into the vehicle after fighting with his girlfriend at a party.
He told police he wanted to kiss his girlfriend goodnight and when he found she had left, he went to search for her.
When he saw what he thought was his girlfriend’s car he phoned her and told her to pull over.
His girlfriend said she didn’t know what he was talking about, causing him to angrily ram the car he was trailing 15 times. He realised he had hit the wrong car when he confronted the driver and discovered it wasn’t his girlfriend.
The teen faces charges of assault with a vehicle, fleeing police and drunk driving.
