WHITAKER STARS IN VEGETARIAN CAMPAIGN
Actor FOREST WHITAKER has joined forces with a leading animal rights group to promote vegetarianism in a new TV spot.
The short commercial on People for the Ethical Treatment for Animals’ (PETA) website see the LAST KING OF SCOTLAND star talk candidly about motivations behind his meat-free diet.
The actor’s seven-year-old daughter TRUE also features in the campaign.
Whitaker says, "Life is full of choices, and many years ago, I chose to become a vegetarian. (It) was one of the best choices I’ve ever made.
"You may decide to go vegetarian for better health, for a better environment, or you can be like True and me and just decide you don’t want to eat meat anymore." Whitaker is the latest in a long line of star’s to join PETA’s series of famous vegetarians’ testimonials - SADIE FROST, INXS lead singer JD FORTUNE and DEF LEPPARD guitarist PHIL COLLEN have also featured.
