PRESTON STORMS OFF TV QUIZ WHEN HOST MOCKS WIFE
British rocker SAMUEL PRESTON walked out of a taping of satirical BBC TV quiz show NEVER MIND THE BUZZCOCKS yesterday (10JAN07), when host SIMON AMSTELL made fun of his wife.
The ORDINARY BOYS frontman became upset when Amstell sarcastically began reading extracts from his spouse CHANTELLE HOUGHTON’s book LIVING THE DREAM.
After the audience jeered Preston’s departure, team captain BILL BAILEY found a lookalike in the crowd.
A show spokesman says, "It’s a shame Preston felt he had to leave. Fans will know Simon loves to banter with guests - and this is always intended in a good spirit." Preston met Houghton on UK reality TV show CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER last January (06). The couple wed in August (07).
