The homes of Hollywood stars including MEL GIBSON, PIERCE BROSNAN, PAMELA ANDERSON, BARBRA STREISAND and COURTENEY COX-ARQUETTE were threatened by a fire which raced through their exclusive Californian neighbourhood last night (08JAN07).
The blaze charred 20 acres (81,000 square metres) of land in Malibu, California, destroying a guest house and causing significant damage to four other houses, before being contained by fire officials just after 8pm local time.
Fire officials haven’t released the names of the property owners whose homes were damaged in the blaze although actress VICTORIA PRINCIPAL was among the residents who rushed out to hose down her home after the fire was reported at about 5pm.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
