FOX WAS A LATE DEVELOPER IN THE POOL
Television castaway MATTHEW FOX didn’t learn to swim until he was 21.
The LOST star now loves nothing better than to swim in the nude in the waters around Hawaii, where the TV show is shot, but there was one time he could never imagine jumping in the sea.
He says, "I grew up in Wyoming and all the water there is, like, freezing cold because it’s all glacier run-off and I didn’t learn to swim until I was like 21 years old.
"My wife MARGHERITA actually taught me to swim in the pool at Columbia University… It was very embarrassing.
"I was really not comfortable in the water. I remember being in that pool at Columbia with, like, the swim team doing laps… I was pretty pathetic."
