British model/actress ELIZABETH HURLEY and her businessman fiance ARUN NAYAR are flying guests to India for an extravagant five-day wedding celebration according to newspaper reports.
The couple are planning to get married in an English ceremony on 3rd March (07) before heading to India - Nayar’s birthplace - two days later to continue their £450,000 ($870,000) wedding party. They have invited guests, who are expected to include HUGH GRANT and SIR ELTON JOHN, to a five-day bash from 5 March (07) to 10 March (07), which is to be held in locations across India from "Bombay to Rajasthan". A friend of the couple told British newspaper The Mirror, "While the UK wedding will be a quiet affair, the Indian celebration will be over-the-top and flamboyant. Elizabeth is hoping that all their friends will be able to make all five days. It will certainly be a wedding party to remember.
"Elizabeth doesn’t do anything by halves. There are already all sorts of rumours about what she’s planning - but it will definitely be lavish."

Top Beverly Hills plastic surgeon ROBERT REY has urged BRITNEY SPEARS to take better care of herself after claiming shocking new pictures of the pop star suggest she’s aged 15 years in just two.

Actor JAMES McAVOY almost broke his neck after blacking out shooting a torture scene for new movie THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND.
The 27-year-old gave such an intense performance during the scene crew members mistook his pain as acting.
The actor recalls, "I imagined myself in so much pain that I couldn’t physically breathe - and therefore scream - if I wanted to. I blacked out completely during the first take. So I’m hanging upside down and nobody does anything because they don’t know anything’s wrong.
"They just think it’s some mad acting experiment. I’m about to break my neck when the props master, JOSH BARRAUD, suddenly clocks what’s happening and hauls me down. I was in shock for the next three or four hours."

Former CHiPs star ERIK ESTRADA has been told to calm down by a Police Chief after he launched into a foul mouthed tiade at a man on new US reality show ARMED & FAMOUS.

Police Chief Winkle confirmed he’d discussed the confrontation with Estrada, saying, "We talked about it with him, the fact that that’s something we encounter all the time, that you have to get a little thicker skin.
"With any new officer we would tell them, ‘Hey, that’s not how we conduct ourselves, don’t get caught up in the moment, we’re the ones who are professionals.’ That’s what we did with Erik and I think he truly understood that."

DAMON ALBARN has blasted former PULP frontman JARVIS COCKER, branding his antics during MICHAEL JACKSON’s performance at the 1996 Brit Awards "disturbing". The frontman of American metal rockers BURY YOUR DEAD, MAT BRUSO, has walked out of the band to become a teacher.
The Boston, Massachusetts-based group have been forced to cancel their European tour supporting KILLSWITCH ENGAGE.
A statement from the band reveals Bruso "has decided that he has come to a point in his life where he must focus on more important things like going back to school to become a teacher and his upcoming marriage.
"You have to respect that and we are in no way mad. Just upset that were losing a piece of the family. We do however look forward to trying out new vocalist and finding our new frontman".

ARCTIC MONKEYS drummer MATT HELDERS is starting a new fitness regime so he can play the band’s "harder and faster" new songs.
The British rocker found it exhausting touring with the I BET YOU LOOK GOOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR band last summer (06), so he’s bulking up in the gym to cope with the group’s new dance-inspired tunes.
He reveals, "The new album is much harder and faster. By the end of the festival season over the summer I was really struggling with the old songs. The new album’s finished now, so I’m going to get really fit again for when the onslaught begins."

Guitarist JASON BECKER is auctioning two of his amplifiers to raise money for his treatment for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
The rocker, who preformed with DAVID LEE ROTH, was diagnosed with the disease in 1989, and given just five years to live.
He has beaten the odds to survive 17 years, but has no mobility and is forced to communicate through an "alphabet board" invented by his father, that he uses by blinking his eyes - reports Blabbermouth.com.
A posting on Becker’s MySpace page reveals, "If you win the auction, you can pick the amps up at Jason’s house and hang with him. And if you win, I’ll even give you a cab to use, a Jason Becker t-shirt and an autographed picture of Jason and a photo of you with Jason that you can show your jealous friends."

The daughter of legendary songwriter BURT BACHARACH has committed suicide at her Thousand Oaks, Los Angeles home on Thursday (04JAN07) night. NIKKI BACHARACH, the daughter of Bacharach and actress ANGIE DICKINSON, was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome following her premature birth in 1966.
A statement read, "She quietly and peacefully committed suicide to escape the ravages to her brain brought on by Asperger’s." MIKE FEILER of the Ventura County coroner’s office confirmed Nikki died of suffocation using a plastic bag and helium. Her RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD hitmaker father documented her obsessive routines and extreme sensitivity to sounds, smells and tastes in his 1971 song NIKKI.
She was 40 years old.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER’s pals TOM ARNOLD and ROB LOWE were among the dignitaries, politicians and celebrities who celebrated the start of the former actor’s second term as California Governor in Sacramento yesterday (05JAN07).

Schwarzenegger was initially sworn in as Governor in November, 2003. He won a second term last year (06).

KENNETH BRANAGH will direct MICHAEL CAINE and JUDE LAW in the remake of classic movie SLEUTH.
Caine, who played MILO TINDLE in the 1972 thriller will play co-star LAURENCE OLIVIER’s part in the remake - adapted from ANTHONY SHAFFER’s play by HAROLD PINTER - while Law will take on Caine’s original role.
It’s the first time Law, who is also co-producing the remake with Branagh, and Caine have worked together, although both British actors have played love rat ALFIE on the big screen.
Production on the film will begin later this month (JAN07) at Twickenham Studios in London.
Sleuth tells the story of a wealthy author and his efforts to outwit an out-of-work actor (Law) who is having an affair with the writer’s wife in the rooms and corridors of his exquisitely modernised Georgian manor.

BRITNEY SPEARS’ rumoured new boyfriend JR ROTEM will be playing producer to rap’s heaviest hitters after landing deals to work on new albums by DR DRE and 50 CENT.
The record maker admits working on Dre’s comeback album DETOX is tough because the rap legend is "a perfectionist" but he’s thrilled to discover 50 Cent is nothing like his tough guy image.
Rotem says, "I’m working very closely with 50 and he doesn’t seem angry. He’s at the top of the game. He’s focused on making an album to save hip-hop, and I think a lot of people feel that way.
"He is an incredible force, who doesn’t need to put out an album for money or respect. He’s got both so we’re trying to make a new sound." And Rotem thinks his rumoured lover and 50 have a lot in common: "He’s a trendsetter like Britney is in pop music." It’s shaping up to be a very busy year for Rotem - he has also been working on new records for Spears, RIHANNA, JENNIFER LOPEZ and actress HAYDEN PANETTIERE.
