MEXICAN TV STAR JIMENEZ DEAD AT 69
The Mexican director who inspired SALMA HAYEK’s new TV hit show UGLY BETTY has died of a heart attack.
SERGIO JIMENEZ, 69, directed Latino TV hit LA FEA MAS BELLA (THE PRETTIEST UGLY GIRL), which fan Hayek used as the basis for her new comedy series.
Jimenez started his career as a celebrated actor, appearing in a string of hit TV shows in the late 1960s and 1970s. He turned to directing in the 1980s.
