RAPPER DEFENDS GUN VIDEO

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:45 pm

Rapper PHAROAHE MONCH has defended his violent new music video, insisting it carries an important message about the "desensitisation we currently have towards senseless violence".
The promo for GUN DRAWS, which has been deemed too graphic for regular music video channels, shows what it’s like to be shot from the perspective of a bullet.
However, Monch has hit back at suggestions the video contains mindless violence, claiming there is a strong message behind it, reports AllHipHop.com.
He says, "As a creative writer, I like to ask questions. What would a bullet say if it had a voice to speak its mind? It’s challenging to write from different perspectives, especially if it’s an object that has the power to kill.
"This is my effort to provoke and awaken discussion about violence, whether perpetrated by or committed against us."
