HAMMOND HIT WITH BOOZE BAN
British TV presenter RICHARD HAMMOND has been hit with an alcohol ban by doctors, following his miraculous recovery from head injuries suffered in a jet car crash in September (06).
The TOP GEAR star has no memory of the two weeks following the accident, and has been told drinking beer, wine or spirits in the next two years could damage his progress.
The 37-year-old says, "I can’t drink for two years. I’m sending my wife MINDY to try and negotiate that down.
"I’ve been very lucky - my doctors would be very cross if I did anything wrong."
