KOOKS STAR INSPIRED TO BE A MUSICIAN BY LATE FATHER
THE KOOKS frontman LUKE PRITCHARD was inspired to become a musician by his father, even though he died when the NAIVE singer was only three.
The 21-year-old’s dad BOB was the driving force behind 1960s group BOB PRITCHARD AND THE ECHOES, and Luke’s childhood home was littered with musical instruments for him to tinker with.
He says, "I always had his guitars, his harmonicas and records around, so music seemed like a natural calling.
"Pop music is the best way for me to get stuff out of my head. It’s like an addiction, writing songs.
"I think I’d go crazy if I didn’t have it."
