Pop star BRITNEY SPEARS is celebrating being single again by getting a new tattoo of a small star on her right hand.
The TOXIC star, 25, recently apologised to fans for her hard-partying ways, but has not cut down on her nights out on the town.
The star and a group of friends, including her 15-year-old sister JAMIE LYNN, hit the Devil Doll Tattoo & Body Piercing in Studio City, California on Tuesday (19DEC06).
The singer, who has two young sons, SEAN PRESTON and JAYDEN JAMES, was seen sporting disheveled hair and constantly adjusting her wayward bra strap while she was getting the new tattoo.
According to website, TMZ.com, Spears was followed by a pack of paparazzi and set off a media frenzy at the tattoo parlour.

Oscar nominee SHOHREH AGHDASHLOO based her portrayal of SAINT ELIZABETH in THE NATIVITY STORY on her kind-hearted grandmother.
The Iranian actress admits there was very little written about her Biblical character - the mother of JOHN THE BAPTIST - to help her with her research, so she decided to conjure up memories of her grandma.
HOUSE OF SAND & FOG star Aghdashloo says, "During the first day of shooting, I realised how much she (Elizabeth) reminded me of my grandmother.
"When I was five or six years old she used to take me shopping for rice, chocolate, sugarcubes, and so on.
"Then we would get in a cab, go to the slum areas, and randomly knock on the doors to offer up these things.
"My grandmother has a Bible in Farsi that she would read to me, and I remember it had pictures of gardens like paradise."

RENEE ZELLWEGER and EWAN McGREGOR loved working with each other so much after co-starring in the film DOWN WITH LOVE, they actively searched for another film to do together.
Zellweger is currently starring as beloved children’s author BEATRIX POTTER in MISS POTTER, with McGregor playing her publisher in the film, NORMAN WARNE.
He explains, "We did a film called Down With Love, maybe three or four years ago and it was very specifically a sixties kind of comedy.
"It’s quite difficult to play, although we loved the film and had a great time on it.
"It was quite tricky to land the comedy in it. We often would say to each other it would be nice to be doing something straight, something like a drama.
"So, she kept it in mind and she gave me a call and said ‘I’ve got this script.’ It’s lovely to work with her again, she’s absolutely divine!"

LATEST: An Australian woman claiming to be MEL GIBSON’s secret love child sold her story to a UK tabloid for more than $20,000 (£10,000).
CARMEL SLOANE, 29, alleges her mother MARILYN was picked up by Gibson while she was hitchhiking in Australia in 1976 and she was conceived in the back of the car.
According to Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, Sloane, the divorced mother of one, and her mother have been paid more than $20,000 for their tawdry tale.
Sloane’s ex-husband, GLENN, who has custody of their son JORDAN, 10, is furious that he didn’t receive any warning that their child would be linked to the story.
He explains, "I was so upset and shocked. People were ringing me about the story and I wasn’t prepared to protect my son." When asked if he had spoken to his ex-wife about the claims since the story broke, he said, "She’s denying the whole thing." He added that the paternity claims were "mentioned during our relationship, but I always thought it was a croc".
The BRAVEHEART star, who has seven children with his wife ROBYN, has denied the claims.

Emmy award winning make-up artist HALLIE D’AMORE and her photographer husband RICHARD were found dead on Friday (15DEC06) at their home in Venice, California.
Hallie D’Amore, 64, who was nominated for an Academy Award in 1995 for her work on FORREST GUMP, apparently shot her husband Richard, 66, multiple times before turning the gun on herself.
Investigators said they did not know what drove her to kill her husband and herself, but said the two, who recently celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary, were having marital problems.
Hallie D’Amore won an Emmy award for the HBO made-for-TV movie NORMAL in 2003 and was nominated for 1995’s BUFFALO GIRLS and 1993’s GYPSY.
Her other credits include THE PRINCESS DIAIRES, 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS, XXX, RUNAWAY BRIDE, PATCH ADAMS and APOLLO 13.
Richard D’Amore was known for his moody landscapes, nudes and architectural photographs, which caught the eye of Hollywood celebrities including MICHELLE PFEIFFER, TED DANSON and ROB LOWE, among others.
CAPTAIN ED WINTER of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office said police found a note, but were unsure whether it was a suicide note.
Police believe the shooting occurred on Thursday (14DEC06) and the couple were found the next day by one of their co-workers.

WItherspoon announced she was separating from husband RYAN PHILLIPPE in October (06), after seven years of marriage.

According to New York Post columnist LIZ SMITH, the star was thoroughly disgusted with both marriage and her life in Hollywood and wanted to return to her Southern roots.

DREAMGIRLS star JENNIFER HUDSON was so desperate to find an audience when she was younger she regularly performed at funerals.
The 25-year-old former AMERICAN IDOL contestant loved singing and jumped at the chance to perform whenever an opportunity was available.
She explains, "I’ve done a lot of weddings and talent shows, but I became the funeral singer.
"My family has the Hudson Funeral Home and I would go and sing for the different funerals, so the people started to think I was an employee of the funeral home.

NELLY FURTADO has overcome her fear of expressing herself in Spanish and is recording her first Spanish language album.
The PROMISCUOUS singer decided to follow in the footsteps of other stars who have had successful Spanish albums including CHRISTINA AGUILERA, SHAKIRA and JENNIFER LOPEZ.
She tells MTV News, "I’m in the midst of recording a Latin album. It’s like, ‘Wow, I’m writing a song in Spanish!’ It’s really bizarre, but really great." Furtado, who grew up speaking Portuguese, didn’t learn Spanish until she was 14-years-old.
Although she has sung a few songs in Spanish before, including TE BUSQUE on LOOSE, this is the first time she’s attempted to write songs from scratch.
She adds, "I feel like a little kid again, because it’s a whole new language!"

Singer JOSH KELLEY and his fiancee KATHERINE HEIGL are planning a winter wonderland theme for their upcoming wedding. Kelley, 26, popped the question to the GREY’S ANATOMY star, 28, in June (06) with a three-carat pear-shaped diamond engagement ring.
The singer approves of the winter theme, telling American publication saying, "It was Katherine’s first idea. Once she started talking about it and what it would look like, I was set." JOURNEY frontman STEVE AUGERI has been permanently replaced in the classic rock act - by his stand-in.
JEFF SCOTT SOTO, who stood in for ailing Augeri on Journey’s recent tour with DEF LEPPARD, was announced as the group’s new full-time frontman late yesterday (19DEC06).
But there are no hard feelings - Augeri realises his touring days are behind him, and his former bandmates are wishing him well.
In a statement, the band writes, "We are so grateful to Steve for all the years he dedicated to Journey.
"We thank Steve for all his hard work and we wish him only the best in his future endeavours." Augeri states, "Singing for Journey these last eight years have been the most challenging and the most rewarding of my career.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the band, and especially the fans, for the privilege of being part of a musical legacy that has touched so many hearts and souls.
"I wish my fellow bandmates success and happiness as they continue to make great music in the future, as I will strive to do the same myself." Augeri is currently recording his debut solo album, IN THE MOMENT, which is due out next summer (07).

The actress - who has two adopted children, Maddox, five, Zahara, 23 months, and her and Brad’s seven-month-old biological daughter Shiloh Nouvel - insists the couple don’t want to be working parents who never see their children.
She told US chat show host Larry King: "I’m hoping that as we got older, we’ ll do less films. And just to know, we don’t raise our kids in Hollywood.
