THE KOOKS frontman LUKE PRITCHARD has thanked fellow British rockers ARCTIC MONKEYS for taking the brunt of the media attention when both bands released their debut albums this year (06).
The Kooks unveiled their INSIDE IN/INSIDE OUT disc in the aftermath of the phenomenal success of ARCTIC MONKEYS’ WHATEVER PEOPLE SAY I AM, THAT’S WHAT I’M NOT.
Pritchard says, "God bless the Arctic Monkeys because if it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have been so shielded.
"We were so overshadowed by the success of it (their album) that we crept in behind everybody’s back. Arctic Monkeys shielded us from getting to much attention."
