Anna Nicole Smith is facing a paternity battle over her daughter Danni Lynn since returning to the US.
The former Playboy playmate was forced to come back to America to attend a hearing about the much-disputed estate of her late husband, billionaire J.
Howard Marshall II, in California yesterday (18.12.06).
On the steps of the courthouse her partner and lawyer Howard K. Stern, who insists he is the father of her baby, was served with papers alleging he had lied in statements for a paternity suit filed by Anna Nicole’s ex Larry Birkhead.
Photographer Birkhead insists he is the father of Danni Lynn.
Until now his demands for a DNA test have been evaded because Anna Nicole was living in the Bahamas, outside the jurisdiction of US law.
