Sarah Michelle Gellar has criticised Hollywood for not creating enough good leading roles for women.

The 29-year-old actress - who shot to fame in cult TV series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ - insists too many scriptwriters in Tinseltown refuse to make a female character the lead in their screenplays.
Sarah prefers Asian cinema because the films often have strong women.
She said: "I’ve always been fascinated with Asian movies. I love that women can play a lead. There are still only certain film genres where a woman can stand out and be heroic, be the centrepiece." Sarah, who is married to actor Freddie Prinze Jr., has starred in the US remake of Japanese horror film ‘The Grudge’ and the sequel ‘The Grudge 2′.
