ED NORTON HAPPY FOR HAYEK
US actor EDWARD NORTON is stunned by his ex-girlfriend SALMA HAYEK’s new TV hit UGLY BETTY, and is desperate for a role himself.
Ugly Betty, starring AMERICA FERRERA, is based on a popular Spanish-language telenovela from Colombia called YO SOY BETTY LA FEA or I AM UGLY BETTY.
Ferrera plays a plain New York City girl who manages to find a way into the fashion world.
Norton - who dated Hayek from 1999-2003 - is blown away by the series, which she created and produced. And he confesses he’s planning to get in touch with her about securing a cameo.
He says, "I’m really happy for Salma. She deserves it."
