SIR PAUL McCARTNEY will give his estranged wife HEATHER MILLS a $235 million (£120 million) divorce package to safeguard his health, according to a British newspaper.
The News Of The World reports the former BEATLE was urged to agree the deal by his daughters STELLA and MARY because they are concerned the bitter divorce battle is affecting his well being.
The siblings reportedly told their father, "If this goes on, it could kill you. Being happy is more important than money." The newspaper claims McCartney will publicly give his estranged wife a mere $19.5 million (£10 million), most of which she’ll donate to charity.
But she’ll actually secure an enormous secret package including $5.9 million (£3 million) a year as a divorce settlement, $15.7 million (£8 million) to buy homes in America and Europe, $5.9 million (£3 million) for English accommodation and more than $3.9 million (£2 million) a year for staff and general expenses for the next 15 years.
One of McCartney’s aides tells the newspaper, "It’s a done deal and Paul is relieved."

MADONNA and GUY RITCHIE are allegedly flying to an Indian Ocean paradise in a bid save their marriage. The MATERIAL GIRL and her Ritchie will stay on a private island in the Maldives for two weeks with Madonna’s daughter, 10-year-old LOURDES, and their sons ROCCO, six, and adopted tot DAVID, in a last-ditch bid to save their six-year marriage.

LATEST: PETE DOHERTY has been branded "sick and inhumane" by the family of late actor MARK BLANCO, who died outside a party attended by the BABYSHAMBLES star in London last Saturday (02DEC06).
The troubled rocker, who was involved in an altercation with Blanco earlier in the evening, is believed to have played no part in his death - but quickly left the scene to attend another bash.

Emma says, "It’s sick. Can you imagine walking over somebody’s body like that?" Sheila adds, "That is not a normal human reaction: to leave somebody who is in a very bad state." Supermodel KATE MOSS has allegedly hired her friend KATY ENGLAND to design her new collection for British fashion chain Topshop.
Moss has been paid a reported $5.9 million (£3 million) for the fashion range, but England, the creative director of the Alexander McQueen fashion label, will reportedly create the collection on her behalf.
An insider tells British newspaper The Mail On Sunday, "Katy is highly regarded in the fashion industry as she’s well established and works on some very prestigious projects. She’s known for being industrious and committed. "Unlike some of Kate Moss’ clique, she tries to stay out of the limelight and is happy working behind the scenes." Moss read out a poem at England’s wedding to PRIMAL SCREAM rocker BOBBY GILLESPIE in July (06), and spent $39,000 (£20,000) to fly the couple to a ROLLING STONES gig as her wedding gift.

LATEST: The girlfriend of British soap star MOHAMMED GEORGE has dismissed claims the 24-year-old actor assaulted her on Friday (08DEC06) morning, insisting he "never laid a finger" on her. George, who plays GUS in BBC show EASTENDERS, was arrested on suspicion of physically abusing EMMA ARCHIBALD after a heated row outside a London restaurant, but she insists he didn’t attack her.

The daughter of tragic CROCODILE HUNTER STEVE IRWIN refuses to stay sad about her dad’s death, insisting he’d want her to focus on the happy memories they shared instead. Eight-year-old BINDI admits she’s cried a lot since her dad died in September (06) after a stingray barb pierced his chest, but she tries to hold back the tears because her dad would want her to be positive.
She admits, "Sometimes I cry and I cry. But then I just think, ‘It’s happened. And you can’t do anything about it.’ He’s not hurt - he’s in a great place.
"He hated it when I cried. If my pet goldfish died, he cried with me. So I’m trying really hard not to make him really sad that I’m sad.

THE OFFICE star LUCY DAVIS married Welsh actor OWAIN YEOMAN at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral yesterday (09DEC06).
The cathedral, which hosted the wedding of PRINCE CHARLES and DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES in 1983, and is not usually available for non-royal nuptials.
But Davis, who plays DAWN in the original UK version of the hit comedy, was allowed to use the grand venue because her father, comedian JASPER CARROT, was awarded an Order Of The British Empire (OBE) in 2002.
After the nuptials, Carrot said, "It was amazing - very emotional." The ceremony was attended by 300 guests including Davis’ former The Office co-stars MACKENZIE CROOK, who played GARETH, and MARTIN FREEMAN, who played TIM.

Oscar winner NICOLAS CAGE is cutting back on his busy movie schedule to help develop the independent film industry in the Bahamas.
The LEAVING LAS VEGAS star received the Chopard Award for career achievement at the third annual Bahamas International Film Festival this weekend (08-10DEC06), and currently lives on the country’s Paradise Island. He says, "I’m thinking about taking more time in between movies.
"I feel I’ve made a lot of movies already and I want to start exploring other opportunities that I can apply myself to, whether it’s writing or other interests that I may develop."

Actress SIENNA MILLER was so hurt by ex-fiance Jude Law’s infidelity, she felt compelled to visit a therapist - but was told she wasn’t ready to receive treatment. Miller called off her engagement to the COLD MOUNTAIN star last year (05) after she discovered he’d been having an affair with DAISY WRIGHT, the nanny to this three children.

American secret service agents reportedly bugged late British royal DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES’ telephone conversations on the night she died - without permission from their British counterparts.
British newspaper The Observer claims the forthcoming British police report on the 1997 death of the princess will feature an admission from US agents that they compiled secret recordings of her final telephone calls when she stayed at the Ritz in Paris, France.
The conclusion of the investigation, headed by LORD STEVENS, will also reportedly find her driver HENRI PAUL was not entirely to blame for the fatal car accident, despite being three times over the French drink-driving limit.
The report is due to be published on Thursday (14DEC06).

British rockers ARCTIC MONKEYS have topped the NME’s Album Of 2006 poll voted for by staff at the weekly music magazine.
The band’s WHATEVER PEOPLE SAY I AM, THAT’S WHAT I’M NOT debut beat out stiff competition from SHOW YOUR BONES by New York rockers YEAH YEAH YEAHS, which came second, and MUSE’s BLACK HOLES AND REVELATIONS, which finished third
. Frontman ALEX TURNER is still surprised by the critical and commercial success of the album.
He says, "We’d been up and down playing those songs and everyone had gone pretty barmy, but I didn’t think that they were going to buy a CD
. "I just thought they were out and having a laugh, and I didn’t think it meant we were ultimately going to make this big album

LATEST: A British Army major has hit back at NOEL GALLAGHER after the OASIS rocker insisted British soldiers serving in Iraq shouldn’t be allowed to seek compensation if they are wounded.
Earlier this month (DEC06), Gallagher sparked controversy by claiming troops have no right to seek compensation because they are "loving it until they get shot".
But Major BEN WRENCH of the Black Watch battalion hits back at the mouthy rocker, saying, "If we were all getting pop star wages, maybe we would have the luxury of whingeing a lot more.
"I would caution anyone about passing comment on the servicemen and women who are injured in the line of duty. Yes, we volunteer to join the Army and of course everyone is aware of the operational risks.
"But no, we don’t volunteer to be blown up by roadside bombs, to be killed or maimed and to lose limbs. I don’t think anybody who has been injured could be accused of whingeing."

VICTORIA BECKHAM has reportedly threatened to sue fashion house Rock & Republic for $98 million (£50 million), because she believes the jeans she designed for the label were more profitable than previously thought.
The former SPICE GIRL - who was spotted house-hunting in Los Angeles earlier this week (begs04DEC06) - signed with the trendy label in September 2004 in a deal which included a share of the profits made from her own-brand jeans.
The wife of soccer star DAVID BECKHAM has reportedly been paid $980,000 (£500,000) so far by MICHAEL BALL’s company, but parted ways with the label earlier this year (OCT06).
The WANNABE singer’s legal spokesman tells British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, "Victoria Beckham’s lawyers and accountants believe the range have been far more successful than anyone imagined - and that Victoria is owed tens of millions of pounds." However, fashion guru Ball insists, "We have heard nothing about any legal action." If Beckham decides to go ahead with the lawsuit, the case is likely to be a complex and long-running battle.

MARIAH CAREY is threatening legal action against MARY CAREY, because the adult entertainer is planning to trademark her similar-sounding stage name.
The WE BELONG TOGETHER singer is worried fans might confuse the two performers if Mary Carey’s application to trademark her name for audio and video recordings is successful.
However, the porn star - real name MARY COOK - insists she’s not intimidated by the Grammy Award winner, saying, "It’s kind of funny because I’m a porn star and I’ve been being myself for a long time. I think she’s being silly." Cook’s lawyer DAVID BEITCHMAN insists the singer stands little chance of winning a court battle over the names.
He says, "My first thought was, does Mariah Carey realise what her lawyer is comparing her to and are they seriously concerned? Do they seriously think the fans are going to be confused?"

ROD STEWART has ruled out a reunion of his iconic British rock act THE FACES, because he is disheartened by the absence of late bassist RONNIE LANE.
The MAGGIE MAY singer considered a comeback with the 1970s band’s surviving members KENNEY JONES, IAN McLAGAN and RONNIE WOOD earlier this year (OCT06).
But those plans have since been cancelled following Wood’s recent outburst that Stewart has become "Hollywood-ified".
Stewart says, "Since Ronnie Lane’s gone, I’ve lost a lot of enthusiasm to do it because he was the heart and soul of the band." Lane died from multiple sclerosis in 1997.
