ARGENTINE CONDUCTOR UN CONCERT HONOUR
Celebrated Argentine-Israeli conductor DANIEL BARENBOIM will direct a concert in honour of United Nations Secretary General KOFI ANNAN Annan, who will leave his post at the end of the month (DEC06) after two consecutive five-year terms, will have an orchestra play works by MOZART and BRAHMS for him.
Argentine-born Barenboim made his musical debut in Rome in 1952 as a pianist, before becoming a conductor.
