GEORGE CLOONEY is feeling lucky about OCEAN’S THIRTEEN - it’ll be his last outing as heist master DANNY OCEAN.
The movie star reveals there was never going to be a second sequel to OCEAN’S ELEVEN, but both he and director STEVEN SODERBERGH felt OCEAN’S TWELVE was so poor, they had to make another film.
He tells film website iFMagazine.com, "Thirteen happened because we felt like we could do it better than Twelve.
"We didn’t want to go out getting socked in the chin on one. (We) really were like, ‘We know how to do this.’ "We found a really good reason to do it, which is revenge - which is always better than just making money. That made sense to us, and we thought, ‘OK, that’s a good reason to do it.’" Clooney insists there won’t be an Ocean’s Fourteen unless his career really takes a tumble.
He adds, "There doesn’t seem to be any reason to come back… Maybe 10 years from now I need a job again and I’ll take it, but right now we don’t plan on another (Ocean’s movie)."

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star EVA LONGORIA has handed over wedding planning duties to her fiance TONY PARKER.
The couple announced their engagement on 29 November (06) and are tying the knot in the basketball star’s native France next summer (07).
They have hired famed celebrity wedding planner MINDY WEISS and Longoria tells American publication Us Weekly she is letting her fiance "take the lead" in planning their nuptials.
The happy couple plan to invite Longoria’s co-stars from her hit TV series, as well as the San Antonio Spurs star’s Texas-based teammates.
Longoria reportedly doesn’t want the wedding to break the bank, telling Weiss, "We are building a house right now (in San Antonio), so we just can’t go over budget."

EVA LONGORIA’s new fiance TONY PARKER is grateful the couple took a brief break from each other in October (06) because it tested their love.
The French basketball star and the DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES actress split after her publicist confirmed the couple were "going through a difficult time".
Longoria flew to Paris, France in an effort to save the relationship and her romantic gesture paid off - Parker proposed to her at the end of last month (NOV06).
He says, "We learned a lot from that time. We learned to be strong together and believe in each other." Sources claim the couple will exchange vows in a castle outside Paris on 7 July (07).

McConaughey, dubbed The Life Of The Party, is the unlikely choice to lead In Touch magazine’s new Hollywood’s Biggest Party Animals list.
Editors insist the SAHARA star has "perfected sexy socialising".
Party girl Hilton, nicknamed The Social Secretary by the US magazine, comes in second, while Irish wildman COLIN FARRELL’s rehab stint last Christmas (05) hasn’t kept him from enjoying life in 2006 - he makes the list at number three.

PARIS HILTON has slammed reports she has been sexually intimate with her new pal BRITNEY SPEARS and insists they are just great friends.
On 2 December (06), a British newspaper ran pictures of Hilton kissing Venezuelan MTV star EGLANTINA ZING during a modelling job and claimed the heiress and Spears had dabbled in sexual activities during a 19 November (06) sleepover in Las Vegas.
Spears’ ex-husband JASON ALEXANDER, who was married to the pop star for 55 hours, recently suggested Spears was bisexual in an interview, explaining, "She found other girls attractive, yes, but we never did anything about it." Hilton’s representative, ELLIOT MINTZ, slams reports his client was intimate with Spears, saying, "That is just silly." Oscar winner REESE WITHERSPOON is set to star in the remake of director OTTO PREMINGER’s classic thriller BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING.
The 1965 film surrounds the events that occur after a woman reports that her daughter, Bunny Lake, has gone missing.
When police investigate and find no evidence that she ever existed, they begin to question the woman’s sanity.
The original film starred LAURENCE OLIVIER and CAROL LYNLEY.
Director JOE CARNAHAN, who recently completed the ensemble drama SMOKIN’ ACES, hopes to helm the film before he directs GEORGE CLOONEY in WHITE JAZZ.
Witherspoon is currently starring in another thriller, RENDITION, with JAKE GYLLENHAAL and MERYL STREEP.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN sequel DEAD MAN’S CHEST has set sail for the record books after a booty of almost five million DVDs was sold in America on its opening day of release on Tuesday (05DEC06).
The JOHNNY DEPP movie has already secured its title as the year’s top-grossing film and now it’s on course to become the number one live-action DVD of all time.
To claim that title, the sequel will have to pass the 16 million DVD sales of the first PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN film.
The biggest-selling DVD of all time is animated hit FINDING NEMO, which has sold over 27 million units to date.

MALCOLM X director SPIKE LEE is set to take on another hot-button political issue when he brings the drama of the 1992 Los Angeles riots to the big screen.
Lee is teaming with top Hollywood producer BRIAN GRAZER and the pair hope to begin shooting next year (07).
The riots, which followed the acquittal by a white jury of four police officers who were videotaped beating black motorist RODNEY KING, caused the deaths of 55 people, thousands of injuries and close to $1 billion in damages.
Grazer said the subject matter was "the best way to use Spike’s power as a filmmaker, to tell an even-handed story that gets beyond the iconic pictures that we all remember." Lee adds, "This isn’t about some cavalcade of stars, but rather a truthful and realistic examination of what happened, what the ramifications were and where we are now, in hopes that something like this doesn’t happen again.

Actor ROB LOWE was devastated when he turned down the role of DR DEREK SHEPHERD in hit TV medical drama GREY’S ANATOMY, insisting he felt like shooting himself after the show became a hit.
Lowe passed on the romantic lead role, which eventually went to PATRICK DEMPSEY - and earned him the nickname Dr McDreamy - and revived the actor’s career.
The ABOUT LAST NIGHT star laments, "(I) coulda been McDreamy! It’s an occupational hazard.
"It’s like BRAD PITT turns down THE MATRIX to go do SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET. It happens to everybody.
"The great thing is that Patrick Dempsey is so great in that part and he’s such a great actor.

Media mogul OPRAH WINFREY has been secretly parenting 10 children in South Africa since 2002.
The 52-year-old star has bought the school-aged youths a house, hired caretakers, sent them to boarding school and visits them several times a year.
Winfrey has harsh words for critics of celebrity adoptions in an interview with USA Weekend magazine.
She says, "They can stick it. It’s a miracle when a child gets saved and I don’t care if it’s BRAD PITT and ANGELINA or somebody… we have not even heard of.
"When I see them carrying around that little black baby, that is so OK with me.

Actor LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS has pleaded no contest to charges that he beat his girlfriend up during an altercation in August (06).
Police raced to the LA BAMBA star’s Northridge, California home following reports Phillips was attacking his girlfriend YVONNE BOISMER. The authorities found the couple in the middle of a heated argument.
Following the actor’s arrest, his spokesperson insisted the whole matter was "a misunderstanding", but now Phillips has accepted he brutalised his live-in lover.
He has been sentenced to a year of domestic violence counselling and 200 hours of community service. He was also placed on probation for three years.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida is buying the Hard Rock business, including its massive collection of rock ‘n roll memorabilia, for $965 million (£495 million).
The purchase includes 124 Hard Rock Cafes, four Hard Rock Hotels, two Hard Rock Casino Hotels, two Hard Rock Live! concert venues and stakes in three unbranded hotels.
The tribe will also acquire what is believed to be the world’s largest collection of rock memorabilia, some 70,000 pieces including JIMI HENDRIX’s Flying V guitar, one of MADONNA’s bustiers, a pair of SIR ELTON JOHN’s high-heeled shoes and guitars formerly owned by BOB DYLAN, ERIC CLAPTON and CHUCK BERRY.
Tribal Council Chairman MITCHELL CYPRESS says, "This is a proud moment for the Seminole Tribe to diversify its business operations and help a very successful company to achieve even greater growth." The tribe made the deal with British casino and hotel company Rank Group PLC, who plan to keep the Hard Rock Casino in London under the Rank Gaming brand.
Nearly 3,300 Seminole Indians live on and off reservations throughout Florida. More than 90 per cent of the tribe’s budget now comes from gaming revenue.

DREAMGIRLS star JENNIFER HUDSON has slammed reports that she has a problem with gay people.
The former AMERICAN IDOL star has hit back at remarks attributed to her yesterday (06DEC06) in a Dallas, Texas newspaper in which she allegedly called homosexuality "a sin".
Hudson posted a message on her MySpace website page trying to clear up any confusion, saying, "It should be a happy day because I heard that the National Board Of Review picked me as one of the BreakThru Actresses Of The Year… but it turned into a sad day and I can’t understand why or how this happened.
"When you are up, people try to tear you down.
"Some paper is saying that I have a problem with gay people. It’s just mean and wrong. My feelings are so hurt and I can’t sleep. Anybody that knows me, knows that just ain’t true.
"It makes me so mad that people can twist your words and say anything they want. And there’s nothing I can do about it, except to say, please don’t believe everything you read."
