SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has admitted he visits psychiatrists to overcome his insecurities and discuss family problems.
The former BEATLE, currently embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with estranged wife HEATHER MILLS, also finds songwriting a great therapy, but he makes an appointment with a shrink whenever he needs some extra emotional support.
He says, "You can be in an argument, or feeling down, and if you’re lucky enough to be able to write you go into a corner and work your way through the emotions.
"I’ve seen psychiatrists in my time, so songwriting hasn’t always worked.
It’s not a bad idea to have someone to talk to. It’s normally over family matters."

Newlyweds TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES have been forced to end their honeymoon after tropical storms hit the Indian Ocean paradise where they’ve been island-hopping on a luxury yacht.

Hotel heiress PARIS HILTON was once left blushing when a date realised she’d been pretending to talk on her mobile phone to avoid chatting to him.
The socialite decided the date wasn’t going well almost immediately, so she pretended to answer a phone call from her mum in a bid to leave, but she was caught out when her mobile phone actually started to ring.
She reveals, "I was out with this guy and after five minutes I knew he was totally not my type. So I pretended my mum was on the phone and I needed to go home urgently.
"But while I was pretending to be on the phone to her, it started ringing. So he knew I wasn’t really speaking to her!"

Urban recently checked into rehab after revealing he’d suffered a relapse in his battle with alcoholism, and actor Downey Jr, who has fought his own addictions, wants to help.
A source reveals the CHAPLIN star has reached out to Kidman to help her cope with her husband’s issues and has offered to support the singer when he’s out of rehab.
The insider says, "Robert knows exactly what Keith is going through… He volunteered to call Keith with encouragement, but she suggested they wait until he’s out (of rehab) so they can all sit down for a long talk."

LATEST: Latina superstar JENNIFER LOPEZ is facing a court battle in her ongoing legal dispute with her first ex-husband - OJANI NOA has vowed to fight her "to the end".
The singer/actress filed her suit against the former waiter in April (06), after Noa announced plans to detail their one-year marriage in a tell-all book.
She also obtained a restraining order barring Noa from revealing intimate details of their sex life.
Noa and Lopez signed an agreement last year (05), ruling he could not disparage the MAID IN MANHATTAN star or make money from disclosing intimate details from their brief marriage.
But Noa told a Los Angeles judge yesterday (01DEC06) that he regrets agreeing to the preliminary injunctions.
He said, "I want to fight this thing to the end. My life has not been the same since this lawsuit was filed." The judge told Noa he must hire a lawyer by 17 January (07) or represent himself in court.

TAKE THAT singer GARY BARLOW has so much money, he’s taking tips from former bandmate ROBBIE WILLIAMS on to how to increase his spending. Barlow raked in the cash after writing most of the reformed British boy band’s hits, including BACK FOR GOOD and NEVER FORGET, in the 1990s, and he’s now the band’s richest member with an estimated fortune of $25.3 million (£13 million).
However, he admits he got bored with extravagant spending after a while, saying, "I spent a million buying antiques and art work which I didn’t even want. Some of them I bought from (SIR) ELTON JOHN. "Our house in Cheshire was full of clutter - every one of our rooms was crammed with stuff. We moved to London and decided to downsize and sell it all off. "When I met up with Robbie I asked what he spends his money on. There isn’t anything I really need any more so I just buy gadgets."

Drummer CHRIS CANO explains, "We call it the ROBBIE WILLIAMS syndrome. We don’t get recognised at home. The only people that talk to us are bookies and loan sharks that come up to us in the street. "We moved here in January (06) to correspond with our burgeoning music career. At home we get 500 people a night turning up to our shows, but here we get 2,500. It’s our reality."

Latin American fans of rockers COLDPLAY will be the first people in the world to hear the group’s new material when they perform new tracks during a short tour of Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Chile early next year (07).
The British band will hit Chile on Valentine’s Day (14FEB07) for a three-night stand in Santiago, before moving onto Argentina and Brazil.
The CLOCKS hitmakers will wrap up the South American dates on 3 March (07) with a show at the National Auditorium in Mexico City.

LINDSAY LOHAN is attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in an effort to control her partying ways.
The actress/singer’s publicist, LESLIE SLOANE ZELNIK, has confirmed Lohan is seeking help, adding, "It is going to be a slow process, and this is (a) very positive thing." Sloane says she’s asking the media not to intrude on the meetings or follow Lohan, 20, to and from the gatherings.
She tells America’s People magazine, "Maybe if (the press) backs off on her she’ll be in a good space.
"Let’s see if we don’t have to hear about it every day, and they’re following her and trying to find her. Because that will just really not be good." The announcement comes just days after Lohan joined newly single BRITNEY SPEARS and on-off pal PARIS HILTON for a series of late-night parties. She was spotted partying at Los Angeles club Area on Thursday night (30NOV06).
Lohan’s mother spoke about her daughter’s AA involvement on Los Angeles radio presenter RYAN SEACREST’s morning show yesterday (01DEC06), agreeing with Sloane and stating, "It’s a positive thing." Meanwhile, Lohan is playing down a new USA Today newspaper report suggesting a doctor was rushed to her hotel room at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont on 12 November (06) to revive her after she suffered a drug overdose.
The 20-year-old admits a doctor was called to the room, but insists she was no "MARILYN MONROE, overdosing in the bathroom."

MORGAN FREEMAN had a surprise when he appeared on THE TONIGHT SHOW in America on Thursday (30NOV06) - he was shown a Listerine TV commercial he’d forgotten he’d been a part of.
Host JAY LENO is famous for digging out obscure TV ads featuring the guests on his show, but he wasn’t so sure he’d found a rare black and white mouthwash ad starring a young Freeman after the Oscar winner insisted he’d never made such a commercial.
But Leno was so convinced the telephone repair engineer in the ad was the SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION star, he ran the commercial and urged Freeman to take a close look.
The baffled actor was left scratching his head when the man in the ad was clearly his younger self.
He told Leno, "I’ve forgotten all about that. OK, so I did a Listerine commercial?"
