TITO: ‘GEST RUSHED INTO MARRIAGE WITH MINNELLI’
THE JACKSON FIVE star TITO JACKSON insists his childhood pal DAVID GEST rushed into marrying LIZA MINNELLI as the estranged couple didn’t know each other well enough.
The I WANT YOU BACK hitmaker grew up in Gary, Indiana alongside record producer Gest and is convinced his pal only had good intentions towards Minnelli, even though they are now embroiled in a bitter divorce battle.
Jackson says, "David really loved Liza but he should have got to know her better.
"At the time he thought he was doing the right thing, but he doesn’t regret it."
