R&B superstar BEYONCE KNOWLES has blamed her hectic work schedule for her slip up at last week’s (ends26NOV06) BBC CHART SHOW LIVE event, when she mistakenly thought she was in the British capital instead of seaside resort Brighton.
Knowles, 24, upset local residents when she expressed her delight at being "back in London" - but quickly apologised when she was informed of her mistake.
The CRAZY IN LOVE star says, "Before I was in England, I was home for maybe four days.
"Before that, I was in Australia; before that, I was in China; before that, I was in Africa… so my body was very confused.
"I don’t know where I am. I just lost track of where I was - it happens. The fact that it said BBC everywhere really confused me.
"Usually, when I’m in London, that’s where I do my thing, and I saw the letters and thought, ‘OK, I’m in London.’"

LATEST: French stars of the screen and stage joined leading politicians to mourn actor PHILIPPE NOIRET yesterday (27NOV06).
The CINEMA PARADISO star died on Thursday (23NOV06) after a long battle with cancer. He was 76.
One thousand mourners including CATHERINE DENEUVE, BERTRAND TAVERNIER, JEAN-PAUL BELMONDO and French Prime Minster DOMINIQUE DE VILLEPIN paid tribute to the star of more than 125 films at Paris’ Sainte-Clotilde Basilica.
Noiret’s widow MONIQUE CHAUMETTE ensured the funeral was open to anyone who wanted to attend.
Noiret started his career in 1956 in AGNES VARDA’s film LA POINTE COURTE. He won two Cesar Awards (the French Oscars) for Best Actor for his roles in ROBERT ENRICO’s 1976 film LE VIEUX FUSIL and Tavernier’s 1990 production LA VIE ET RIEN D’AUTRE.

Director TIM BURTON has slammed reports SACHA BARON COHEN has signed up to star in upcoming film SWEENEY TODD, insisting talks with the BORAT funnyman are far from concluded.
Earlier this month (NOV06), media outlets claimed Cohen had landed the coveted villain role of ADOLFO PIRELLI opposite leading man JOHNNY DEPP and Burton’s partner HELENA BONHAM CARTER.
But Burton tells movie magazine Empire, "It’s very early days of discussions.

LATEST: Civil rights campaigner REV JESSE JACKSON has called for a blanket ban on racial slurs in American TV shows and films after MICHAEL RICHARDS’ racist tirade at two black men in a Los Angeles comedy club.
When he appeared on Jackson’s radio show KEEP HOPE ALIVE on Sunday (06), former SEINFELD star Richards insisted he is not a racist and is "shattered" by the comments he made.
Jackson, who previously condemned Richards’ outburst as "sick" and "hateful", has arranged meetings with TV and movie executives in the coming weeks to discuss outlawing derogatory terms.
He says, "We want to give our ancestors a Christmas present." According to Richards’ publicist, HOWARD RUBENSTEIN, he has begun psychiatric counselling to learn how to manage his anger and understand why he made the racist remarks.

British pop star LILY ALLEN needed a little help from internet search engine Google last night (27NOV06), when she forgot the lyrics to one of her own songs during a gig at London’s Union Chapel.
The SMILE hitmaker, 21, was left speechless when she could not remember the words to her song EVERYTHING’S JUST WONDERFUL, and was grateful when back stage staff came to her rescue with a sheet of lyrics printed from the web.
One spectator recalls, "She just said something like, ‘Sorry, I can’t remember it. I’ll have another go later.’ "She seemed mildly embarrassed but quite jovial. Then she sent someone off for the lyrics and launched into a different song.
"About five minutes later the assistant came back and handed her a couple of sheets of paper with the lyrics on. She sang Everything’s Just Wonderful from the lyric sheets." Allen’s audience included CHRIS MARTIN, JAMES MORRISON and her actor/comedian father KEITH ALLEN.

A museum dedicated to Swedish pop sensations ABBA will open in Stockholm in 2008.
The interactive exhibition will include outfits worn by the four-piece, instruments used by the group, awards they won and a collection of handwritten lyrics.
ULF WESTMAN, who is running the project with his wife EWA WIGENHEIM-WESTMAN, says they will display "all things we can think of and find".
An interactive feature of the museum will also allow fans to record their own versions of ABBA songs.
The Westmans have been granted permission by ABBA bandmembers BENNY ANDERSSON, BJORN ULVAEUS, AGNETHA FALTSKOG and ANNI-FRID REUSS and are currently exploring locations for the museum, which they intend to open to the public in September 2008.

NELLY FURTADO is set to set the charts alight again by recording a duet with Australian pop beauty KYLIE MINOGUE.
The PROMISCUOUS hitmaker was so delighted when Minogue won her much publicised battle with breast cancer earlier this year (06), she sees the upcoming track as a celebration. She says, "We’ve been talking about it for a while. I can relate to her because she has this crazy work ethic like me, and I love the fact she went back and followed up her tour." LATEST: British rockers RAZORLIGHT have confirmed they were forced to cancel a gig in Russia on Friday (24NOV06) when local ‘officials’ demanded "an astronomical amount of cash" for a permit to perform.
The AMERICA chart-toppers were due to play for 4,000 fans at Moscow’s Nokia Trends Festival and were given just four hours’ notice by promoters that they did not have permission to perform.
A statement from the band reads: "At the last minute (the promoters) were cryptically told that Razorlight and the concert could not go ahead as the ‘government said no’.
"The permits were denied because, allegedly, in order for the gig to go ahead the ‘government’ required a further ‘permit’ costing an astronomical amount of cash."

MATTHEW FOX became so attached to the Seventies-style wardrobe he wore in forthcoming period drama WE ARE MARSHALL, he wishes he could keep wearing them in hit TV show LOST.
The 40-year-old appears alongside SAHARA star MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY in the film, which tells the real-life story of a plane crash on 14 November 1970 that claimed the lives of several members of the Marshall University football team in Huntington, West Virginia.
He says, "I felt great in that stuff and it really helped with the part. That was definitely a very interesting time for fashion."

Veteran radio DJ ALAN ‘FLUFF’ FREEMAN died yesterday (27NOV06) in London. He was 79.
Freeman had battled with ill health since being diagnosed with arthritis six years ago (00).
The popular former BBC Radio 1 DJ was awarded the Commander of the British Empire (CBE) title in 1998 for his outstanding contribution to broadcasting.
BBC Radio 2 controller LESLEY DOUGLAS paid tribute saying, "The words unique and iconic are overused, but in Alan Freeman’s case, they are absolutely appropriate. "He was a great broadcaster who was loved by listeners and colleagues."

LATEST: THE LORD OF THE RINGS director PETER JACKSON has been assured he will film the movie adaptation of THE HOBBIT after all by legendary film producer SAUL ZAENTZ.
There was uproar last week (ends24NOV06) when Jackson announced he had been told by bosses at New Line Cinema his services were "no longer needed" in the making of The Hobbit and another unnamed LOTR prequel, because of an ongoing legal dispute over royalties from the fantasy trilogy.
Leading actors SIR IAN McKELLEN and ELIJAH WOOD, who plays GANDALF and FRODO in the LOTR films respectively, have both publicly expressed their dismay at the news, with Wood calling the dismissal "very foolish".
However, Zaentz, who owns the screen rights to Tolkien Enterprises, says, "(The Hobbit) will definitely be shot by Peter Jackson.
"Next year, The Hobbit rights will fall back to my company. I suppose that Peter will wait because he knows that he will make the best deal with us.
"And he is fed up with the studios. To get his profit share on the Rings trilogy, he had to sue New Line. With us, he knows that he will be paid fairly and artistically supported without reservation."
