Actor/comedian DENIS LEARY has lampooned disgraced Hollywood star MEL GIBSON in a song boasting anti-Semitic views and a fondness for tequila.
Gibson, who courted controversy earlier this year (JUL06) with a racist tirade at a Jewish highway patrolman arresting him for drink-driving, is branded a Holocaust denier and alcoholic in the RESCUE ME star’s ditty, reports PageSix.com.
Leary sings, "I like to drink, I like to drive / I like to think that all the Jews got out of the Holocaust alive / My name is Mel, and can’t you tell / I like tequila / I like a bagel, and I like lox / I’ve worked with Jews all over Hollywood, from Paramount to Fox / They kinda smell, they’re goin’ to hell / I like tequila." Senegalese-born rapper AKON will repay the African fans who helped him find success, by touring in the continent.
The 25-year-old moved to America when he was seven, but insists support from other Africans and other expatriates in the US has driven him to the top.
He tells AllHipHop.com, "The success overseas - I would definitely contribute that towards my African following, because no matter where I go Africans are deep. We just got a sense of pride to where we really always support each other.
"We’re about to do a tour of the Afrique, it’s probably going to start in the spring of next year in 2007. We’re doing a world tour starting in February (07), we’re gonna start in Europe and hit Africa and then swing it back around to the US."

LATEST: Superstar DJ FATBOY SLIM has been given permission to hold a beach party in England’s Brighton beach for 20,000 residents of the city.
The Big Beach Boutique will be the second time the PRAISE YOU hitmaker has held a bash in his home town.
But it has taken some effort to convince the local council to approve the 31 December (06) performance. His last gig there in July 2002 attracted 250,000 revellers, overwhelming organisers and the police and bringing chaos to the city.
This time around only 20,000 residents of Brighton will be allowed to attend the ticket-only event - although tickets have already appeared on auction site eBay.

The father-of-seven thinks 19-year-old RUBY STEWART’s voice is good enough to make her a star, but fears her arrogance will ruin her chances.

Rapper AKON has confessed he practices polygamy and has three "wives".
The Senegalese star made the revelation on American DJ ANGIE MARTINEZ’s New York radio show, but has now been banned from talking about his home life by his record label, who fear a backlash against him.
Akon, 25, told Martinez, "I’m a polygamist. I can afford to have as many wives as I can afford to have. All Africans believe in it. My dad has four wives." The rapper insisted that under the teachings of the Koran, all wives must be treated equally - which Akon insists he does.
But the Atlanta, Georgia-based star’s confession has forced his label Universal to issue him with a gagging order.
He tells AllHipHop.com, "Me and Angie were having a conversation. In the beginning it was cool because I said, ‘Okay I got enough fans out there, I got a lot of supporters I can get open with them.’ But then after me and Angie had that conversation, situations started getting heated.
"It started affecting other people that had nothing to do with us. Because of that, (the label) said they don’t want me to promote that aspect, and I can’t talk about that too much because it’s destroying other people’s families and other things. I said, ‘OK, no problem.’ "I gave them the word to where I won’t promote it too much, to where it won’t be a topic to where it starts getting tainted into those situations.
"Unfortunately, this is the world we live in, people do judge you by your beliefs and how you think. It’s a free country, but it’s really not free."

A generous robber tipped a clerk after subjecting him to a hold-up.
The man walked into a gas station in Greenwood, Indiana, took a can of drink to the counter and told the clerk to give him all the money.
According to police, the apologetic robber told the clerk he hated to do this to him and suggested he take half the cash.
When he refused the robber said: "Here, take $20 for you troubles".
The lengthy process meant the man was easily caught on surveillance camera.
Police detective Aaron Hagist said: "Someone has to be able to recognize him."

British TV bosses were left red-faced after letters used for a word game were used to spell out an offensive term.
Channel 4’s ‘Countdown’, hosted by Des Lynam and Carol Vorderman, sees contestants try to create the longest word possible from a random selection of nine vowels and consonants.
However, last week both participants ended up spelling the word ‘darkie’ - a racist term for a person of black origin.
A spokesman for Channel 4 said: "From time to time odd words do crop up.
"On Friday’s episode we had the word darkie and both contestants spelt it out.
"It was made very clear at the time that it was an offensive word, however, it is one that is in the Oxford English Dictionary."

A German art gallery will exhibit a range of erotic furniture next month.
The collection - created by Dutch carpenter Mario Philippona - features cupboards, wardrobes and tables modelled on the female anatomy and will go on show at Berlin’s Amadues Art gallery in December.
Philippona said: "The shape of a woman, her organic architecture, combined with my passion for wood inspired me to sculpt these sexy designs." The designer’s latest work is entitled ‘TittyFruity’ and is a fruit bowl adorned with life-size breasts.

A British man managed to sleep through a tree crashing into his home.
Oscar Henriques, from Exeter, Devon, was sound asleep when the large beech fell through his roof and landed in his spare room, next door to his own bedroom.
Worried neighbours contacted the police and it was only when they bombarded him with telephone calls that he woke up.
Henriques told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: "I did hear a noise but I thought it may be an earth tremor so I went back to sleep.
"The next thing I knew the police were ringing me and I saw a giant tree on my house. I couldn’t believe it." Henriques also revealed that he had been asking the council to cut down the culprit tree for 24 years.

A Bolivian fast food franchise boss has gone on hunger strike.
Samuel Doria Medina - who owns the Burger King franchise in the country - is protesting against constitutional reforms proposed by the Bolivian president Evo Morales.
Medina - the richest man in Bolivia - has his own political party, Unidad Nacional (National Unity) and once stood as a presidential candidate.
In order to survive Medina is drinking coca tea, a drink from which cocaine is made which was legalised by Morales.
One source said: "Bolivian ‘hunger strikers’ have a reputation for interpreting the phrase to mean ‘only eating during certain hours.’"

A bakery selling treats specifically for dogs has opened in Germany.
The Dog’s Goodies bakery in Wiesbaden, near Frankfurt, offers a selection of minty biscuits, muesli bars, tuna cakes and garlic cookies.
Owner Janine Saraniti-Lagerin said: "Vets tell me what is healthy and my Labrador Ronja tells me what is tasty.
"Dog-owners come from far and wide to get treats here. Many international customers stop off here on their way to Frankfurt airport to pick up something special for their dog back home."

A Welsh driver has been ordered off the road after failing a sight test - four times.
Peter Davies, 25, of Burry Port, west Wales, is so visually impaired that he recently mounted a kerb and crashed into a fence.
Anxious neighbours were so worried for their safety they notified the police who ordered Davies - dubbed Mr Magoo because of his thick glasses - to take an eye test in the street.
Davies failed four times to read the number plate of car parked 20 yards away.
It now transpires that he has just 50% vision in one eye and 45% in the other.
His father, Antony Davies, said: "To be honest he is gutted by what has happened. We are both hoping an optician can put an extra thickness into his glasses."

China has banned a TV advertisement for freckle removing cream, after fish used in the making of the commercial died as a result of exposure to the product.
A Shanghai company claimed their ‘Magic Freckle Removing Gel’ was created using "American technology" with extracts of a Chinese medicine that had spot-removing properties - making it good enough to remove spots from fish.
However, according to the Beijing News none of these claims are true and fish exposed to the gel at a research institute died of poisoning.
There have also been complaints from consumers of rashes, skin inflammation, blistering, coloured spots and other adverse reactions.
China’s State Administration of Commerce and Industry has banned the ad.

A British gambler lost over £200,000 because of his fat fingers.
The unfortunate man was trying to place a bet at 999-1 on a 15-8 favourite in a horse race at Wolverhampton on betting site Betfair, but his chubby fingers caused him to press the wrong buttons and he ended up offering the odds to other punters.
According to Britain’s the Sun newspaper, one opportunist eagerly took up the wager and won £214,000. A couple of smaller bets were made, mounting up a loss of £237,500, before the man realised his mistake.
Betfair’s Tony Calvin said: "The client simply made a mistake."

A New Zealand couple were shocked to have their wedding branded "cheap, nasty and tacky" by a marquee company.
Steve Hausman and Paula Brosnaham, both from Auckland, emailed the Great Marquee Company to cancel their order and were astonished by the response.
According to the New Zealand Herald, office manager Katrina Jorgensen, emailed back: "Your wedding sounded cheap, nasty and tacky anyway, so we only ever considered you time wasters.
"Our marquees are for upper class clients which unfortunately you are not.
Why don’t you stay within your class levels and buy something from Payless Plastics instead." The groom-to-be forwarded the email to his lawyer who in turn sent it to friends, and the response predictably ended up on the internet.
The firm’s boss Klaus Jorgensen posted an apology on the company’s website and the person involved was sacked.

A US men’s store says it has the ideal Christmas gift - a frog dissection kit.
Customers at Manhattan’s Jack Spade store were hopping mad to see the kit being sold alongside $775 leather cases and $145 calfskin passport holders.
The $40 kit included a vacuum-sealed frog, magnifying glass, forceps, and scissors, probing sticks, a ruler and an instruction booklet.
Jake Spade’s spokesman Mordechai Rubinstein said: "The intent was to celebrate science and biology, present something educational for children and adults.
"Jack Spade doesn’t support the unethical treatment of animals." The store has now removed the product from its shelves.

Military police in a Brazilian city are suing a school teacher for teaching students to play soccer.
Assad Couto is facing legal action after the Military Police Association of Niteroi - based next to the school - complained that wayward footballs are damaging their cars.
A spokesman for the Military Police Superior School said: "This is ridiculous, they are a bunch of old, frustrated policeman who can’t stand the vitality of our students!" However the association have hit back saying the students need to learn how to play football properly.
An association spokesman fumed: "It is obvious these kids can’t play football, they are hopeless! "They are constantly jumping our wall to catch the balls, if they were good they wouldn’t need to do that, they would be scoring goals!"
