Singer-songwriter NORAH JONES is pleased unofficial footage of her performing has ended up on the internet, because it has captured some of her best work.
The COME AWAY WITH ME hitmaker was nervous to discover the webcasts at first, but quickly realised she enjoyed looking back at gigs she would never have watched otherwise.
She explains, "I think it’s fine. I’ve done a ton of gigs over the past year with these three different bands in New York; just in bars, playing guitar, playing guitar solos, when I really shouldn’t be.
"One time I found a clip of us on YouTube and, it was like, ‘Aargh! Oh my God! Don’t they know this is a fun gig for us and not to be broadcast on the internet?’ "Then I watched the clip and we sounded pretty good, so I was happy about it.
"It’s definitely a fun vortex you can get lost in. The old clips on there are amazing."

FOO FIGHTERS rocker DAVE GROHL wasn’t among the mourners for recently shut-down New York City nightclub CBGB, because he played there once and it was a "dump".
The iconic venue, a favourite of rockers like PATTI SMITH and BAD BRAINS, closed for good last month (OCT06) - prompting an outpouring of tributes and grief.
But Grohl has more down to earth memories of the club, when he performed there with a former band.
He says, "I played there with Scream in 1987 or something. It was a f**king dump. It was gross"

LATEST: The ex-BUSTED stars suing former bandmates MATT WILLIS and JAMES BOURNE deny their legal action is motivated by bitterness.
KI FITZGERALD and OWEN DOYLE were part of the British band’s original line-up and left in 2002, just before the group hit the big time with WHAT I GO TO SCHOOL FOR. They were replaced by current FIGHTSTAR frontman CHARLIE SIMPSON.
In 2005, both Fitzgerald and Doyle filed separate lawsuits, demanding royalties for hit Busted songs they claimed they wrote.
This week (begs20NOV06) they filed a second suit claiming their names have been left out of a forthcoming Busted autobiography.
However, the pair insist they’re not jealous of their former band’s achievement but are suing to protect their rights.
A spokesperson says, "Both Ki and Owen are not bitter about Busted’s success, as it was built on the songs that they both wrote with James and Matt.
"However, the story that everyone has been told of how Busted was formed and how their big hits were written is a gross distortion of the truth and Ki and Owen just want acknowledgement for their work and to be entitled to what’s rightfully theirs so they can put Busted behind them.
"They are both very confident about the strength of their legal argument and case."

British pop newcomer LILY ALLEN has blasted "sexist" music magazine NME, after the publication placed rock band MUSE on the front cover of their annual Cool List edition.
Female singers BETH DITTO of THE GOSSIP, KAREN O of the YEAH YEAH YEAHS and Allen appeared at number one, five and three respectively on the annual list of the coolest people in music, compiled by NME staff.
Allen fell out with NME earlier this year when her joke about cocaine during an interview was taken seriously and widely published in the tabloids as ‘an admission’ of taking the drug.
Writing on her MySpace profile, Allen says, "I was approached by them again with regards to the ‘Cool List Issue 2006′, five women had made it into the top 10 and we (the women) were asked to pose for photos to be the main feature for the cover . The context was so important ie; a strong female presence in music, I thought I might as well put aside my differences and do it.
"I went to get a copy yesterday, and this is what we (the women) got .

A launch party for JAY-Z’s new album was brought to an abrupt halt last night (22NOV06) when New York authorities shut down the city’s Avalon nightclub.
Revellers were queuing outside, waiting to celebrate the release of the rapper’s KINGDOM COME album at the nightspot, when police and fire officials ordered the immediate closure of the venue.
Club director CARMELO CITRON said the club closed because of occupancy certificate problems.
The 99 PROBLEMS hitmaker was not expected to attend the bash.

Canadian pop star NELLY FURTADO turned down $500,000 (£278,000) to pose for Playboy magazine, but refuses to rule out a potential photo session with the men’s magazine.
The PROMISCUOUS hitmaker has recently made a comeback to the charts with a raunchy new image, but insists she’s not ready to show off her body just yet.
She tells MTV, "I (was) offered half a million dollars to pose fully clothed.

Hilton hotel bosses are playing down reports socialite PARIS HILTON was forced to check-out of one of her famous family’s hotels in London - for causing a late-night disturbance.
Reports in the British press suggest the actress/singer upset the management at London’s swanky Hilton on Park Lane recently when she hosted a late night party in her room.
Guests complained about the noise and the SIMPLE LIFE star packed her bags and left the next day.
But, according to her representatives, Hilton was only scheduled to stay in the hotel for one night and there was no falling out.

LATEST: A single copy of OJ SIMPSON’s scrapped book IF I DID IT appeared briefly on internet auction site eBay yesterday (22NOV06), before being removed.
The item attracted more than 50 bids of up to $1,600 (£890) before publisher HarperCollins alerted the site and the sale was stopped.
A spokesperson for HarperCollins says, "We are doing everything in our power to have them all destroyed." Simpson was paid a reported $3.5 million (£1.95 million) to write the book, a hypothetical description of how he would have killed his ex-wife NICOLE SIMPSON and her friend RONALD GOLDMAN.

The 89-year-old took to the streets of Los Angeles to dish out turkey dinners to the less fortunate and admits he enjoyed the selfless project.

LATEST: Iranian actress ZAHRA AMIR EBRAHIMI has vehemently denied she is the woman in a controversial new sex tape, claiming her ex-fiance faked the raunchy footage in revenge.
Ebrahimi has been fighting to save her image and avoid criminal prosecution after a video was leaked onto the internet and released on DVD, which appears to show Ebrahimi and her ex-fiance, known as MR X, indulging in sex acts.
The video has shocked Iran because it is illegal for unmarried couples to have sex and Ebrahimi is well known for starring in religious and moral TV programmes.
Ebrahimi, 25, says, "I watched the film after I heard about the fuss from colleagues and the girl in it is not me.
"I admit there are similarities to the character I played in NARGES. It is possible to use studio make-up to have a person look like me. I have some knowledge of montage techniques and I know you can create a new face by distorting the features of another person.
"According to the moral norms of Iranian society, it is very damaging for this film to be distributed under my name. If you look at my professional resume, you will see that I have taken part in mainly spiritual or religious films or programmes." Ebrahimi’s unnamed ex-boyfriend is in police custody over the tape after he was extradited from Armenia. He faces a possible $10,800 (£6,000) fine and three years behind bars.

Former Formula 1 driver MICHAEL SCHUMACHER has been made an honorary citizen of the Italian town Maranello.
The seven-time German world champion received the tribute from the municipal council of the town, which boasts the headquarters of car giant Ferrari, for his prowess on the track during a glittering career.
Mayor LUCIA BURSI says, "With his fantastic sportive career at Ferrari, Schumacher has been a companion for an important part of Maranello’s history.
"At the end of his unbelievable winning streak Maranello now wants to thank him." Schumacher, who ended his career last month (OCT06), won the championship five times with Ferrari.

STEVEN SPIELBERG has blasted today’s television industry for exposing children to gruesome shows.
The SAVING PRIVATE RYAN director spoke out at the International Emmy’s directors meeting in New York on Monday (20NOV06), warning producers to act more responsibly.
He singled out graphic trailers which showed "blood and people being dissected" such as for forensic drama CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION.
