Ewan McGregor is seeing a hypnotist - to help him quit smoking.
The ‘Star Wars’ actor is desperate to ditch his health damaging habit and has turned to a specialist to help him beat his cravings.
Ewan also promised wife Eve he would give up cigarettes to make up for cancelling their family summer holiday to star in a new Woody Allen film.
Ewan said: "I’m determined this time, really. It has to work. Eve’s an even bigger Woody Allen fan than me, so she didn’t really mind about the film - when Woody calls you have to answer." The couple and there two daughters were due to fly to California when the Scottish actor got a last minute call asking him if he wanted a part in the as-yet untitled movie.
Ewan, 34, has already quit smoking once.
In 2004 he proudly announced he had kicked the habit, saying: "If you really want to stop, you just stop. It’s not as hard as they say it is." However, he started smoking again during his round-the-world motorcycle trip, which started in April of that year, and has been unable to ditch the cigarettes since.
