STREISAND PAYS TRIBUTE TO NEW SPEAKER
BARBRA STREISAND paid tribute to US politician NANCY PELOSI, the newly-elected first female Speaker of The House of Congress, during a concert in San Jose, California on Monday night (13NOV06).
The singer dedicated the song THE WOMAN IN THE MOON to the Democrat, who will become the next Speaker of the House when Congress reconvenes in January (07).
As well as becoming the first woman to lead the House, Pelosi will also be the first Californian to hold the post.
