FISHER WOWS ON OPENING NIGHT
SIR ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER has hailed reality TV show winner CONNIE FISHER after her opening night playing MARIA in THE SOUND OF MUSIC in London’s West End.
The 23-year-old, chosen to star in the show after winning programme HOW TO SOLVE A PROBLEM LIKE MARIA, wowed a starstudded audience and critics have universally praised both her performance and the production.
Highest praise is reserved for Lloyd Webber, who claims Fisher is destined for greatness.
He says, "What can one say? I’ve never seen a response from the audience like it in my career.
"Maybe the one thing I can compare it with is the first night of EVITA with ELAINE PAIGE.
"Connie is one of the most exciting talents I have ever seen."
