BLUNT’S CHARITY GIG FOR VOLUNTEER DOCTORS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:18 am

Singer and former soldier JAMES BLUNT will perform a charity concert in Los Angeles today (16NOV06) to raise money for volunteer doctors.
The British star was alerted to the organisation Doctors Without Borders while he was stationed in Kosovo seven years ago, while still in the British Army.
The medics rush to scenes of war and disaster and help communities without proper healthcare.
Blunt, 32, says, "I was there for six months and to continually see them working in the middle of nowhere with very little in the form of security, very little in the form of decent living conditions and yet still selflessly, tirelessly helping other people, I was touched every single day.
"The music industry has so many fickle sides to it and is involved in selling image and a lot of things that aren’t very real. It seems like a great idea to do something relevant to everyday."
