Pop star CHRISTINA AGUILERA has commissioned designer ROBERTO CAVALLI to exclusively design the elaborate costumes for her BACK TO BASICS world tour.
Cavalli, who is known for his splashy stage costumes, has created 10 outfits for Aguilera and will also create looks for her dancers.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, some of the outfits include a Forties-style white stretch satin tuxedo, bordered with golden pearls and topped with a white fox stole; a Fifties-inspired satin silk bustier and printed, gold-leaf and crystal-adorned silk taffeta skirt; a Sixties suit embroidered all over, and a tailored jacket with embroidered tails to be paired with a red-and-black Swarovski-adorned bustier.
The world tour begins in the US in February (07).

Bosses at eBay claim the bid was the highest the Internet auction site has ever received for a celebrity item.

RUSH HOUR director BRETT RATNER is set to helm a heist drama with EDDIE MURPHY and CHRIS ROCK as a pair of janitors who plan to rob real estate mogul DONALD TRUMP.
The untitled film is being written by RUSSELL GEWIRTZ, who also wrote INSIDE MAN, and is based on an original idea from Murphy.
Rock and Murphy will play a pair of Trump Tower janitors who plan an elaborate heist to rob the building’s tenants.
Gewirtz says, "(It’s) a bit lighter than Inside Man while still aiming to hit those clever plot twists." The project is set to begin production in March (07) on location in New York City.

The DVD release of the upcoming DUKES OF HAZZARD movie prequel will feature soft porn scenes of naked girls showering.
Actress APRIL SCOTT, who plays DAISY DUKE in the new film DUKES OF HAZZARD: THE BEGINNING, reveals sexy shower scenes were filmed just to titillate.
She tells men’s magazine Stuff, "There are so many behind-the-scenes extras of naked girls - but not me.
"There are some scenes with girls in a locker room, with the boys running through there

THE SIXTH SENSE director M NIGHT SHYAMALAN has fired his agents at United Talent Agency after nearly a decade and signed up with Creative Artists Agency.
The move comes after his latest film, LADY IN THE WATER, performed poorly at the box office, grossing only $42 million (£23 million).
Lady In The Water marked the end to Shyamalan’s long relationship with Disney, which began in 1997 when the studio took a chance on the then-unknown filmmaker and acquired The Sixth Sense.
He followed with the films UNBREAKABLE, SIGNS and THE VILLAGE.
The writer-director is the second big name to leave UTA for CAA - JIM CARREY left earlier this year (06) after 15 years with the agency.

Rapper THE GAME created his epic ‘diss’ track 300 BARS & RUNNIN’ during a 24-hour lockdown in a Los Angeles recording studio, jacked up on ‘Black Gorilla’ cocktails.
The DREAMS hitmaker slammed a number of his rap rivals, including his one-time mentor 50 CENT, in the 15-minute hit and admits the track was a result of no sleep or bathroom breaks.
He says, "It took 24 hours with no sleep, nothing to eat, no bathroom use, nothing. Just Belvedere Vodka and banana (flavoured) Snapple. I call that the Black Gorilla.
"I was f**king p**sed off, and I felt 50 was trying to permanently put an end to my career."

Elvis Presley Enterprises is searching for the first official ELVIS impersonator.
The King of Rock ‘n Roll’s estate is holding a "tribute artist" contest to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Presley’s death.
Contestants will be selected at Elvis tribute contests, along with fairs, festivals and other venues.
The qualifying rounds and finals will be held in Memphis, Tennessee during Elvis Week from 11-19 August (06).
Judges will be looking for the "best representation of the Elvis legacy" in talent, appearance, performance, stage presence and each contestant’s overall tribute.
The best performer will be named the 2007 Elvis Tribute Artist of the Year.
Presley, 42, died on 16 August 1977.

SNOOP DOGG is taking the credit for ending the west coast rap wars in America, but he fears he’ll never be able to clean up the mean streets of Los Angeles.
The GIN & JUICE star set up the Protect The West programme in a bid to end feuds between California’s rappers, and he insists the idea has been a big success.
He says, "All these rappers made a treaty saying we wouldn’t have any disrespect for each other on our records.
"It must be working, because there are no more rivalries." Snoop only wishes he could set up the same programme to end gang warfare on the streets of Los Angeles.

KEVIN FEDERLINE filed for sole custody of his two young children with pop star BRITNEY SPEARS because he feels she is not fit to take care of them on her own.
The former dancer counter-sued Spears one day after she filed for divorce (08NOV06), asking for sole physical and legal custody of children SEAN PRESTON, 14 months and JAYDEN JAMES, two months.
Federline may use Spears’ series of very public parenting mishaps against her, including an incident earlier this year (06) where she drove with Sean Preston on her lap and another where she had him in his car safety seat facing the wrong way.
According to Federline’s attorney MARK VINCENT KAPLAN, "Kevin feels he is a great parent and acting solely in the best interest of his children. He’s not doing this for the money.
"Kevin is prepared to go the distance in order to protect and safeguard the children and will not be dissuaded or intimidated from the pursuit of these goals." Federline also has two children with ex-girlfriend SHAR JACKSON, KORI, four and KALEB, two.
According to Jackson, she doesn’t receive any child support from Federline, but he does pay for the children’s private school costs.
Spears’ grandfather, JUNE AUSTIN SPEARS has lashed out at Federline telling American publication Star, "Why didn’t he try and get custody of his other kids? "It’s because that other woman doesn’t have money, and Britney has money."

A woman was claims soul singer JAMES BROWN raped her is asking the US Supreme Court to hear her sexual harassment lawsuit.
A federal appeals court dismissed JACQUE HOLLANDER’s lawsuit in August (06), claiming she had waited too long to file her case.
Hollander argues that the state’s two-year statute of limitations in such cases does not provide equal protection to women.
In her lawsuit, she says Brown raped her at gunpoint in 1988 while she was working as his publicist. She is seeking $106 million (£59 million) in damages.
Hollander said she sued Brown after she developed a thyroid condition in 2000 that doctors told her was caused by the stress of the alleged assault.
She said the statute of limitations also shouldn’t apply because the condition wasn’t diagnosed for 12 years.
Brown’s attorney, DEBRA OPRI, called Hollander’s request for the Supreme Court to hear her case "a pipe dream." According to Hollander’s lawyer, DONALD ROSEN, the appeal is likely to be Hollander’s final legal option.
He adds, "Then her only recourse is in the court of public opinion. That would be a horrible miscarriage of justice."

LINDSAY LOHAN was left red-faced last night (15NOV06) when her hosting duties at the World Music Awards in London were met with boos from the audience.
The pop star/actress looked visibly upset by the frosty reception and abandoned her duties halfway through the Earls Court ceremony.
Reports claim she tumbled down a flight of stairs backstage and had to rest.
Her role was taken over by individual awards presenters, who attracted similar heckles from the audience in a largely confused and disorganised ceremony.
SIR BOB GELDOF’s daughter PEACHES was forced back on stage after announcing an absent SHAKIRA as World’s Best Latin Artist. Peaches apologised for the winner’s no-show after five minutes of empty stage, informing the arena crowd, "I just spoke to Shakira on the phone and she’s thrilled." Backstage, British girl band SUGABABES had dressed in matching gold dresses expecting to be presenting an award themselves, but never made it on stage.
Band member KEISHA BUCHANAN said at the start of the show, "I’m not sure exactly which one we’re doing. We’ll have to see."

Bodyguards protecting ANGELINA JOLIE have been accused of "roughing up" children and parents at an Indian school during shooting for new movie A MIGHTY HEART.
Filming went smoothly today (16NOV06) until the gates at the Anjuman-e-Islam school in Mumbai were opened to allow parents to collect their children.
MOHAMMED YUSUF PATNI, general secretary of the school’s Parent Teacher Association, says, "Jolie’s bodyguard called one parent, ‘You bloody Indian.’ Children were pushed around. Mothers were also shoved aside by the guards." But a spokesperson for British production company Dallington TV, which organised the school shoot, insists the blame lies with paparazzi and television crews who rushed through the open gates to get close to Jolie.
A statement reads, "We had the full permission and cooperation of the school to film on the premises. When the gates were opened to allow the parents in to collect their children, the paparazzi rushed the school causing confusion." This is not the first time security staff protecting Jolie, BRAD PITT and their three children have caused controversy since their arrival in India last month (OCT06).
An Associated Press photographer claimed he was punched and threatened with a gun on the A Mighty Heart set last month, and another photographer was allegedly attacked outside Jolie’s hotel in Pune just days earlier.
