FRANKLIN SINGS SONG TO SUPPORT KENNEDY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:36 am

Queen of Soul ARETHA FRANKLIN jumped at the chance to sing a song for new movie BOBBY, because she was a huge fan of BOBBY KENNEDY.
The film focuses on the day Kennedy was assassinated in Los Angeles and was written and directed by EMILIO ESTEVEZ.
When Franklin received the call to sing a new gospel song for the film’s soundtrack, she says she couldn’t resist.
Franklin teams up with MARY J BLIGE on the song NEVER GONNA BREAK MY FAITH, which was written by BRYAN ADAMS.
She tells Fox News, "(The song) is one of the best I’ve heard in years. When I heard it, I had to do it. It’s got a heavy, heavy lyric." Although she didn’t get to meet Kennedy, her father, the late REV CL FRANKLIN, a civil rights advocate in Detroit, Michigan, did meet him, along with Franklin’s brother CECIL.
She adds, "He was a man of substance. His humility was incredible."
