British rockers BLOC PARTY have cancelled their entire American tour, following drummer MATT TONG’s collapsed lung last week.
Tong was hospitalised last Thursday (9NOV06) shortly after the band had come off stage in Atlanta, Georgia, where they were supporting PANIC! AT THE DISCO.
The drummer is recovering, but doctors have ordered him not to travel or perform until he is properly healed - forcing Bloc Party to axe the remaining dates of their support slot on Panic! At The Disco’s tour.
Lead singer KELE OKEREKE says, "We would like to apologise to all of our fans here who won’t be able to see us on this tour. We were looking forward to playing in a number of American cities that we’ve never been to before, however, Matt’s health is our number one priority right now."
