ANDERSON BEEFS UP SECURITY AFTER BORAT
PAMELA ANDERSON was forced to hire more security after appearing in the hit film BORAT, where the film’s title character tries to kidnap her by throwing a sack over her head. In the film, BORAT: CULTURAL LEARNINGS OF AMERICA FOR MAKE BENEFIT GLORIOUS NATION OF KAZAKHSTAN, Cohen’s character is smitten with Anderson and travels cross-country to meet her. He shows up at a book signing where he brushes past her bodyguards and makes an unsuccessful attempt to kidnap her.
Anderson hopes the film doesn’t encourage other would-be-Borat’s to attempt the same stunt. She warns, "No one better try and throw a sack over my head! I’ll kick their you-know-what." Anderson is scheduled to make a promotional appearance for BAYWATCH in the next few days and hopes to avoid any unwanted attention.
She adds, "Let’s see what happens. I can take care of myself, obviously. I’m still around." When asked if she had increased security since the film to deal with any potential problems she says, "Yes, yes I have." She adds jokingly, "I have snipers!"
