JACKMAN DARES PAL TO SUPPORT ENGLAND
HUGH JACKMAN has dared his closest pal to turn his back on his beloved Australia and follow England in the upcoming Ashes cricket clash between the two nations.
Jackman came up with the idea as part of his new Australian reality TV series AN AUSSIE GOES BARMY.
The show, which debuts at the end of the month (29NOV06) in Australia, is the first TV series for Jackman’s Seed Productions.
According to movieline.net, the five-part reality series will follow 37-year-old GUS WORLAND as he puts his patriotism on the line and joins the Barmy Army, England’s most loyal and passionate cricket supporters’ club.
And to make Worland’s job even more difficult, Jackman has insisted his mate will sit among the English faithful, wearing his Aussie team’s green and gold colours proudly.
Worland, who lives in England and has an English wife, has been Jackman’s best friend since their kindergarten days.
Cameras will follow Worland as he attends not only the test match in each city, but also takes part in wild parties, the organised tours and the cricket matches between the Barmy Army and Australia’s The Fanatics.
