RAZORLIGHT PLAY TO 14,000 FANS AT CLIMATE CHANGE GIG
British rockers RAZORLIGHT headlined a free climate change event in central London yesterday (04NOV06), playing to a crowd of 14,000 people.
The GOLDEN TOUCH stars took to the stage at the Stop Climate Chaos event in Trafalgar Square, at which campaigners put pressure on the British government to introduce a climate change bill and to negotiate an international deal to stop global warming.
Singer JOHNNY BORRELL says the band felt compelled to play the event after seeing AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, a global-warming documentary by former US Vice-President AL GORE, admitting, "The whole thing about climate change didn’t register until I saw Al Gore’s film.
"I walked out of the cinema saying we’ve got to do something about it." Singer KT TUNSTALL also played at the event.
