Stars attending last night’s (02.11.06) MTV Europe Music Awards received goodie bags worth a whopping £10,000 each.
Among other items the bags included a state of the art mobile phone, a portable DVD player, the latest electric shaver and several PlayStation video games.
Also included was a James Bond-style briefcase containing all the 007 films.
The event in Copenhagen, Denmark, was attended by a galaxy of stars, including Kanye West, The Killers, Christina Aguilera and new Bond actor Daniel Craig.
However, a number of invited big name celebrities, like Madonna and David Hasselhoff, failed to show up.
Madonna was in the US promoting her new children’s book ‘English Roses: Too Good To Be True’, while the former ‘Baywatch’ actor refused to go after being insulted by the show’s organisers.
Hasselhoff was originally being lined-up to co-host the ceremony with Justin Timberlake, but pulled out after seeing the script which poked fun at him.
A source said: "It was meant to be affectionate but Hasselhoff failed to see the funny side. There would have been clips of him presenting from spa bath surrounded by girls in bikinis."
