WHITAKER JOINS PETA’S VEGGIE CRUSADE
THE CRYING GAME star FOREST WHITAKER has signed on to promote vegetarianism for a new People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) video campaign.
The meat-free actor and his seven-year-old daughter TRUE will appear in new Internet PETA ads, urging food fans to go veggie.
In the minute-long ad, Whitaker says, "Life is full of choices, and many years ago, I chose to become a vegetarian. It was one of the best choices I’ve ever made." Whitaker cites a variety of reasons for going vegetarian: "You may decide to go vegetarian for better health, for a better environment, or, you can be like True and me, and just decide you don’t want to eat meat anymore." Whitaker joins a long list of veggie stars who have spoken out about their diet choice in PETA ads.
