He told a Japanese talk show last week (ends27OCT06), "I like shoes, I’m not collecting them, but yes, I like shoes and bags - handbags." Jackson added, "(He) has more shoes than I do. Gym shoes. Sneakers.
Everywhere. Neatly, but everywhere. Rows and rows and rows and rows. And not just at one home - at a few homes."

DIAZ CLOSE TO SETTLEMENT WITH TABLOID

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:18 pm

CAMERON DIAZ is reportedly close to agreeing a settlement in her $30 million (£17 million) lawsuit against an American magazine that accused her of cheating on JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE.
The National Enquirer last year (05) claimed Diaz was having an affair with SHANE NICKERSON, the married producer of her MTV show TRIPPIN’.
It printed pictures of the pair leave a recording studio and hugging.
Diaz immediately sued for slander and libel, accusing the tabloid of turning "an innocent, insignificant and non-memorable occurrence involving two co-workers and friends (into) a sensationalistic, scandalous and accusatory story which was completely false." Nickerson’s wife and mother-in-law joined Diaz as co-plaintiffs alleging Enquirer reporters caused them emotional distress.
According to court documents revealed by E! Online the parties are close to settlement. A summary of proceedings reads, "Counsel report that settlement discussions have been productive and that parties are close to a settlement."

"We have a non-stop tour schedule, and so we just felt that it is better to give Tom recovery time now instead of cause him to lose his voice for ever and ever."

FAN HITS STONES WITH LAWSUIT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:12 pm

A fan has hit THE ROLLING STONES with a $51 million (£28.3 million) lawsuit after the BROWN SUGAR hitmakers cancelled their concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey at short notice on Friday (27OCT06).
Frontman SIR MICK JAGGER developed a sore throat on Friday and the Atlantic City concert was pulled just four hours before the veteran rockers were due to take to the stage - much to the dismay of fan ROSALIE DRUYAN.
Druyan is set to file papers in New York’s Manhattan Supreme Court today (31OCT06) which contends the late cancellation resulted in thousands of fans losing money on non-refundable hotel bookings.
The concert has been rescheduled for next month (17NOV06), but lawyer MARTIN DRUYAN - who is representing his wife - says, "Talk about no satisfaction." Rosalie adds, "People came from all over to see the Stones. When you talk about travel expenses, hotel and baby-sitting expenses, that’s not a cheap day."

CAT STEVENS TO PERFORM AT NOBEL PEACE PRIZE CONCERT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:12 pm

The singer formerly known as CAT STEVENS will give a rare live performance at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway on 11 December (06), because he’s ready to sing "about life in this fragile world" again.
The Muslim convert, now known as YUSUF ISLAM, turned his back on music and became a devout scholar of the religion in 1978 after almost drowning off the California coast.
He has since become one of the world’s leading humanitarians, but his charity work with Islamic groups landed him in trouble in 2004 when he was prevented from entering America for a business meeting after his name showed up on a list of potential security threats.
Islam says, "There were 100 reasons for leaving the music industry, not least because I had found what I was looking for spiritually.
"Today there are perhaps 101 good reasons why I feel right making music and singing about life in this fragile world again." Islam will be joined on the concert bill by LIONEL RICHIE, RIHANNA, SIMPLY RED, country star WYNONNA JUDD and opera singer RENEE FLEMING.

Paris Hilton enjoyed an 18-hour partying marathon dressed as a bunny girl.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:45 pm

The hotel heiress visited seven different weekend Halloween parties in a raunchy rabbit outfit.
Paris’ first stop was Hollywood’s Spider Club, where she danced for 20 minutes before moving on to the next hotspot.
A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: "She had no awareness of people staring at her silly outfit. She just kept moving from one place to the next. She was with a couple of girlfriends and by the time they got to Teddy’s club at the Roosevelt Hotel, they were all seriously steamy on the dancefloor and the guys were watching their every move." While strutting her stuff in one club, Paris began hopping around like a bunny and laughing hysterically.
At 3am the 25-year-old went to a friend’s party in the Hollywood hills, but only stayed for an hour. At 4am she headed to the Standard bar followed by the Beverly Hill Hotel and the Hyatt West.
At 8am - when most people are heading to work - Paris and a male friend went to a drive-through takeaway and ordered 21 burgers.
According to sources, they "couldn’t stop laughing as they ate them in the car lot".
By 9am Paris was heading home - but not to bed. After 20 minutes she ventured out again looking refreshed and wide awake.
The source added: "She must have changed, showered and freshened up because she emerged looking as fresh as a daisy, all ready to go to a photoshoot."

Kevin Federline will quit fame to live on a farm - to save his children from the same fate as wife Britney Spears.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:44 pm

The aspiring rapper’s superstar spouse shot to fame as a child star on ‘Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club’ TV show alongside future boyfriend Justin Timberlake and future rival Christina Aguilera.
But Kevin insists he does not want their two sons to grow up in the spotlight.
He said: "Showbusiness is no place for kids. Even though my wife did it, and it turned out OK for her. Actually, it turned out a lot better than OK. And if that means I take my family out of Los Angeles to grow up on a farm, then that’s what I’ve got to do." The 28-year-old former backing dancer releases his debut album ‘Playing With Fire’ today (31.10.06) but his attempts to launch his rap career have so far been met with distain and criticism.
His debut performance at the Teen Choice Awards was mocked and tickets to his forthcoming tour are not selling.
The tour kicks of at Webster Hall in New York this Saturday (04.10.06), however, sources from the venue have said: "We may just cancel it. New Yorkers are clearly not fans." Kevin also refused to confirm whether his second son with Britney was called Sutton Pierce or Jayden James, but insisted he is keen to release a picture of the baby so his family can join him on tour, without trying to dodge the paparazzi.
He said: "If my wife wants to have that baby all to herself for now, then she can, because there’s not much she has to herself, not even her own children."

Sir Paul McCartney has banned estranged wife Heather Mills from his show on Friday (03.11.06).

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:44 pm

The former Beatle will be premiering his classical work Ecce Cor Meum at London’s Royal Albert Hall and the security team has been told to keep the former model away.
Paul is worried Heather will try and upstage him at the gala he has dedicated to his late first wife Linda.
A source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: "He suspects she could try to hijack the night by turning up and acting as if she’s supporting him and this couldn’t be further from the truth.
"Paul has told his security team in no uncertain terms, ‘Keep that woman out.’" The 64-year-old music legend is hoping the public will concentrate on his music rather than his private life for the first time since his bitter split from Heather, 38, in May.
The source added: "He wants everything to go smoothly. His work has been a great comfort through this tough divorce battle but he fears Heather is willing to rubbish and ridicule him at every opportunity." Paul’s ban comes days after the estranged couple had a frosty exchange at their daughter Beatrice’s third birthday. It was the first time they had met since leaked court documents from Heather’s lawyers accused Paul of being violent towards her during their four-year marriage.
The musician has also reportedly banned Heather so his daughter Stella doesn ‘t come face to face with her.
Fashion designer Stella, currently pregnant with her second child, allegedly threatened to kill her stepmother after learning Heather accused Paul of being physically abusive towards Stella’s late mother Linda.
During a heated row, Stella, 34, is believed to have yelled at her father, "I can’t believe what she’s doing to you. I’m going to kill that b***h."

Clint Eastwood has blasted Paris Hilton for being ‘famous for no reason’.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:44 pm

The legendary actor - whose film career spans over four decades - says, unlike today, only true talents were granted celebrity status when he first started out.
He said: "When I was young, movie stars who were celebrities were just a handful. Now everybody is a star so you have to make superstars. Stars are just heiresses, like Paris Hilton." The Oscar winner - who examines hero worship and celebrity in his new film ‘Flags of Our Fathers’, a World War II epic - insists only the most extraordinary people were considered heroes in his youth.
Clint, 79, said: "Today everyone is considered a hero. In the 40s heroes were people who committed extraordinary feats. Things are very different now." The screen icon named former US President Dwight Eisenhower and late actor Gary Cooper as his biggest heroes.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:44 pm

Guitarist Noel Gallagher attended the prestigious ceremony, held by the respected British music magazine, at London’s lavish Grosvenor House hotel but his hellraising brother and bandmate Liam was a notable absentee.
As Noel collected his prize, he told pop acts Take That and a-ha they’d had a lucky escape as his brother had gone to the zoo with his long-term partner Nicole Appleton and their son Gene.
He said: "One of Take That just said to me, ‘Is your kid Liam here?’ I replied, ‘You’d know if he was.’ "There’s no way he’d have let the likes of Take That and a-ha come up here without giving them some serious mindless abuse. British TV star Jonathan Ross has attacked Heather Mills - branding her a ‘f***ing liar’.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:44 pm

The chat show host launched his foul-mouthed tirade against the former model - the estranged wife of ex-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney - while presenting the Q Awards at London’s Grosvenor House hotel on Monday (30.10.06).
During his opening line at the prestigious music awards ceremony, he said: "Heather Mills McCartney - what a f***ing liar.
"I wouldn’t be surprised if we found out she’s actually got two legs." Heather, 38, had to have one of her legs amputated below the knee in 1993 after she was hit by a police motorbike while crossing the road.
Ross’ vicious quip was met with a cacophony of cheers and laughter from the star-studded audience which included U2, Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher, Boy George, Arctic Monkeys, Paul Weller and soul legend Smokey Robinson.
Ross was referring to allegations made by Heather, earlier this month, that Paul had been "physically violent" towards her during their marriage.
Among the most serious allegations made in court papers lodged by her lawyer included accusations that Paul pushed her into a bath while she was pregnant, pushed her over a coffee table and poured wine over her head before allegedly stabbing her in the arm with a broken glass.

Oprah Winfrey treated each member of the audience at her Halloween show to a debit card worth $1,000 - but they couldn’t spend the cash on themselves.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:44 pm

The card, sponsored by the Bank of America, was part of a ‘gift of giving back’ campaign, so the 310 audience members could only give the sum to a charitable cause.
Oprah said: "I can honestly say that every gift I’ve ever given has brought at least as much happiness to me as it has to the person I’ve given it to.
That’s the feeling I want to pass on to you.
"You’re going to open your hearts, you’re going to be really creative, and you’re going to spend it all at once on one stranger or spend a dollar on every person. Imagine the love and kindness you can spread with $1,000." The chat show host - who in the past has given away amazing gifts such as brand new cars to her audience - said this was her "favourite giveaway ever" .
As well as the debit card, each audience member also got a Sony DVD recorder to make a film about who they give the money to for an upcoming show.
The cardholders can give the whole sum to one person, but family members are not eligible.

The Rolling Stone have cancelled another concert due to Mick Jagger’s sore throat.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:44 pm

The rock legends - who played at New York’s Beacon Theatre on Sunday night (29.10.06) as part of former US president Bill Clinton’s 60th birthday celebrations - were due to play an exclusive show at the same venue tonight (31.10.06).
But yesterday (30.10.06) they released a statement announcing the concert was being postponed on the advice of 63-year-old Jagger’s doctor that the singer should rest his voice.
Jagger cancelled two shows in Spain in August due to laryngitis during the band’s ‘A Bigger Bang’ world tour this summer.
Meanwhile, Stones fans were furious on Sunday after splashing out thousands on tickets for Clinton’s birthday show, only to be told by the Secret Service that they could not come in.
While tickets were sold for both dates at the Beacon Theatre, security was tightened because the former president was present at the event and ticket holders were told they were only allowed in if their name was on a special approved list.
Stones fan Dr. Richard Weiss, a 49-year-old dentist, bought a ticket but wasn’t on the list. He said: "You had to be connected. It’s a real scam." Clinton stole the show from the rockers, getting a standing ovation from the star-studded crowd, which included his wife Hillary Clinton, Sheryl Crow and Elvis Costello.
Hollywood director Martin Scorsese filmed the concert for a special DVD.

Sir Michael Caine admits he is no longer seduced by £10 million offers for film roles - because he is too lazy to get out of bed.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:44 pm

The 73-year-old British actor has revealed he often turns down big money contracts if the part isn’t right for him because he would rather stay at home with his family.
He said: "I don’t want to get up at 6 in the morning and go out do something I don’t want to do with people I don’t want to be with. I don’t need to pay the rent.
"When you get older you need to make the most of every single day. I only work when I have one of my ‘Godfather’ moments, and Hollywood makes me an offer I can’t refuse. It has nothing to do with money anymore." The screen legend - currently starring alongside Hugh Jackman in ‘The Prestige’ - also confessed he is so idle that his wife is pleased when he works on a film because it gives her a break from him.
He added: "I’m one of the laziest people. I’m a big family man, and I love being at home. I’m a big gardener. I’m also writing a book, and I’m an amateur DJ. I have the fullest days just doing nothing. My wife actually says she’s glad when I’m making a movie because she gets a rest from me."
