OASIS AND ARCTIC MONKEYS ATTACK TAKE THAT
British rockers OASIS and ARCTIC MONKEYS verbally attacked reformed boy band TAKE THAT on stage at the Q Music Awards in London yesterday (30OCT06).
Oasis and Arctic Monkeys received two trophies each, while Take That were honoured with the Idol Award at the ceremony at the Grosvenor Hotel.
Accepting one of the awards on stage, Arctic Monkeys frontman ALEX TURNER who was only 10 years old when the band split in 1996 - said, "I’m not old enough to know a lot (about) them, but even I know that Take That were b***ocks." Later on at the ceremony, Oasis star NOEL GALLAGHER said, "One of Take That just said to me outside, ‘Is ‘Your Kid’ (brother LIAM) here?’ and I went ‘You’d have known about it if he was mate.’ "’If he saw A-HA going up on stage and then you, you can’t imagine the mindless abuse.’"
