LINDA’S BEST PAL SLAMS McCARTNEY MARRIAGE PROBLEMS REPORTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:15 am

LINDA McCARTNEY’s best friend CARLA LANE has slammed speculation the late vegetarian campaigner was unhappy during her marriage to former BEATLE SIR PAUL McCARTNEY.
Linda and her friend PETER COX co-wrote the book LINDA McCARTNEY’S HOME COOKING in 1989 and spent many days at the couple’s English country estate where he recorded 20 hours of Linda discussing her ideas and life.
Earlier this month (OCT06), Cox reassured McCartney he would not go public with the details of the tapes, which could have been used in the rocker’s upcoming divorce battle with HEATHER MILLS.
English writer Lane, 69, told BBC Radio 4 show WOMAN’S HOUR, "It’s just a load of rubbish. All I say is, if Paul did anything that was not nice, Linda would have told me, and she never did.
"Linda told me all things. I mean, if he had a little mood she would say ‘oh, he’s in a mood’, you know.
"But she never did say anything that gave me the impression that she didn’t care about him."
