COHEN SIGNS BRUNO DEAL

LATEST: British funnyman SACHA BARON COHEN has signed a $42.5 million (£22 million) film deal with Universal Pictures, confirming he is to bring his Austrian fashionista TV character BRUNO to the silver screen.
Bruno, famous for flaunting his homosexuality at uptight macho men, will be the third Cohen creation to hit the big screen after BORAT: CULTURAL LEARNINGS OF AMERICA FOR MAKE BENEFIT GLORIOUS NATION OF KAZAKHSTAN and ALI G INDAHOUSE.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the studio has agreed to pay the sum for the film rights, and a production budget of up to $25 million (£13.1 million).
Cohen hopes to shoot the film next year (07).
