ACTOR WILLIAM FRANKLYN DIES
Veteran British actor WILLIAM FRANKLYN has died following a long battle with prostate cancer. He was 80.
Franklyn is best known for the famous 1960s and 1970s "Schhh… You Know Who" Schweppes TV adverts in his homeland, but also enjoyed a successful 50-year stage, TV, radio and film acting career.
Franklin debuted on the London stage aged 15 and later took the lead role in TV drama TOP SECRET before taking parts in a number of British television comedies, including FRENCH AND SAUNDERS.
His film career took in such movies as SPLITTING HEIRS and CUL-DE-SAC.
He is survived by his wife SUSANNA and three daughters.
