MADONNA: ‘DAVID’S DAD KNEW WHAT HIS ADOPTION MEANT’
Pop superstar MADONNA insists her adopted son’s biological father knew exactly what he was doing when he signed adoption papers.
In an interview with American chat show queen OPRAH WINFREY which airs later today (25OCT06), Madonna rubbishes claims made by 13-month-old Malawian DAVID BANDA’s dad YOHANE that he had no idea he was sending his son "away for good".
During the chat, taped yesterday (24OCT06), Madonna tells Winfrey, "He looked me in the eye and said he was happy." Madonna and her husband GUY RITCHIE were granted interim adoption of David Banda last Tuesday (17OCT06).
