HOSKINS: ‘I’M NO GANGSTER’
British actor BOB HOSKINS is constantly mistaken for a real member of the criminal underworld because of the gangster roles he has played on screen.
The portly LONG GOOD FRIDAY star, who stands at five feet six inches (1.68 metres), wastes no time in informing hardened criminals that he has never had links to criminal gangs.
The 63-year-old says, "I met a gangster and he said, ‘Bob, I’m glad to see one of our own doing well.’ I said, ‘One of your own? I’ve never tortured anybody in my life.’"
