MUSICAL LEADS GOLDEN HORSE NOMINATIONS
Chinese musical PERHAPS LOVE is leading the nominations at this year’s (06) Golden Horse Award, garnering 12 nominations at the Chinese Oscar equivalent.
The movie, about a love triangle which develops during the making of a musical in China, will compete for the Asian industry’s most coveted gongs in categories including Best Director for Hong Kong-born PETER CHAN, Best Actress for China’s ZHOU XUN and competing against CRAZY STONE, EXILED, SILK, and AFTER THIS OUR EXILE for Best Film.
After This Our Exile also earned nominations for Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor for AARON KWOK, and Best Supporting Actor for GOUM IAN ISKANDAR.
After This Our Exile is celebrated Hong Kong director PATRICK TAM’s first movie in 17 years.
The awards ceremony takes place in the Taiwan capital of Taipei on 25 November (06).
