MADONNA TO ASK EVERETT TO BE GODFATHER?
Pop superstar MADONNA wants her friend RUPERT EVERETT to be the godfather of her recently adopted Malawian son DAVID BANDA.
The MATERIAL GIRL, who co-starred with Everett in THE NEXT BEST THING, believes his experiences working with AIDS sufferers in Africa makes him the perfect choice.
An insider tells British newspaper The Sun, "Madonna and Rupert have been pals for years and he is one of her closest friends.
"But more than that her trip to African was partly inspired by Rupert’s work out there.
"She knows he spends a lot of time in the country through his work with AIDS charities and that he know the country well. She feels he knows the culture well and would be a great help to David as he grows up."
