LOVE CLAIMS CREDIT FOR DOHERTY’S REHAB SUPPORT
COURTNEY LOVE claims she talked both KATE MOSS and PETE DOHERTY’s mother into joining the troubled rocker in rehab as he battles his drug addictions.
The former HOLE star, who has had her own well-publicised fight with substance abuse, was partly motivated by her desire to see Doherty’s relationship with supermodel Moss work out.
She says, "I phoned Pete Doherty’s mother and persuaded both her and Kate Moss to help Pete and go to a 12-step meeting with him.
"I was functioning as the ‘go-to girl for the publicly humiliated’ because I know how that feels.
"And I wanted to help to get Kate and Pete back together. Which I hope has worked."
