Hollywood couple TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES have confirmed reports they are to wed in Italy on 18 November (06).
The MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE actor, 44, and BATMAN BEGINS beauty, 27, will marry in an undisclosed region of Italy on 18 November - exactly 19 months to the day of their first date (18APR05).
The couple have a romantic link to Italy - they were ‘outed’ as a couple in the capital Rome, where Cruise picked up a national award for his contribution to cinema.
Just two months later, Cruise proposed to Holmes at the top of the Eiffel Tower in France and in April this year (18APR06) they welcomed daughter SURI.
The couple’s ARNOLD ROBINSON confirms to Us Weekly magazine the wedding is set for 18 November, saying, "Those details are correct," adding, "Proper security measures are being taken," for the ceremony to remain private.
Meanwhile, Italian designer GIORGIO ARMANI will dress the couple on their big day, saying, "It really is an honour to play a small role in that milestone moment." The marriage will be the first for Holmes, who was engaged to AMERICAN PIE star CHRIS KLIEN until February 2005.
Cruise had been married twice before, to MIMI ROGERS (87-90) and NICOLE KIDMAN (90-01). He has two adopted children, ISABELLA and CONNOR from his marriage with Kidman.
