DOHERTY IN BLOODY BRAWL WITH ITALIAN PHOTOGRAPHER
Troubled British rocker PETE DOHERTY was involved in a bloody brawl with an Italian photographer in Rome last night (23OCT06).
The BABYSHAMBLES frontman reportedly threw himself at the snapper and punched him several times in the face before the bloodied singer was dragged away by band mates.
The police were not called but the photographer was said to have gone to hospital for treatment.
A witness tells London newspaper the Evening Standard, "(Doherty’s head) was dripping with blood".
The incident happened outside their hotel hours after the band’s gig at the Italian capital, which itself was marred in controversy after the singer threw a microphone stand into the audience after a concertgoer flung a bottle at the band’s drummer.
KATE MOSS’ on/off boyfriend then pushed over amplifiers and the drum kit before smashing another microphone stand several times before walking off.
There were no reports of any injuries at the concert.
