BARKER BLAMES ‘CELEBRITY-OBSESSED’ MOAKLER FOR BREAK-UP
Former BLINK-182 drummer TRAVIS BARKER insists his estranged wife SHANNA MOAKLER’s obsession with fame caused their marriage break-up.
The couple let MTV cameras into their home last year (05) for the reality show MEET THE BARKERS, before announcing their split in August (06).
Barker has laughed off their impending divorce is due to the ‘MTV curse’ after fellow MTV reality stars JESSICA SIMPSON and NICK LACHEY, and CARMEN ELECTRA and DAVE NAVARRO saw their relationship end after starring on the music channel.
He tells America’s Spin magazine, "MTV doesn’t break up relationships.
"What breaks up a relationship is when people are concerned with being some crazy celebrity. And my wife was." Barker filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court in August, citing Moakler’s alleged infidelity and neglect of their two children. Moakler vigorously denies Barker’s claims.
