COOK THREW FIRST WIFE DOWN THE STAIRS
Late comedy legend PETER COOK has been accused of physically abusing his first wife after finding out she had an affair. The comic allegedly threw WENDY SNOWDEN down some stairs and broke lover SIMON GOUGH’s jaw in two places when he discovered her infidelity with the actor.
The startling revelations are made by Snowden, who was married to the BEDAZZLED actor from 1963 to 1971, in a tell-all biography SO FAREWELL THEN, which describes the ‘untold life’ of Cook, who died in 1995. In the book she confesses to romances with writer JEFFREY BERNARD and actors BEN CARRUTHERS and Gough while married to Cook, after discovering the reclusive comedian was himself having an affair with JUDY HUXTABLE, who would later become his second wife.
