A loyal former aide to SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has slammed the ex-BEATLE’s estranged wife HEATHER MILLS, insisting her claims are simply "wicked lies".
GEOFF BAKER was McCartney’s publicist and closest confidante for 15 years, but was sacked by Sir Paul in 2004 when he failed to take to the ex model.
He rages, "That poisonous bitch doesn’t deserve a penny.
"I was with them for four years when she says a lot of this took place. On my son’s life, I never saw him lay a finger on her or abuse her. Her allegations are outrageous lies. It is pure wickedness." In the leaked divorce papers, Mills claims that while on tour in Los Angeles, California, in November 2002, McCartney "grabbed her by the neck and pushed her over a coffee table".
Baker says, "If Paul really had grabbed Heather, you can guarantee I would have heard. There were 198 people on that tour and it would have gone round like wildfire." Referring to Mills’ claim that McCartney prevented her from breast-feeding the couple’s two-year-old daughter BEATRICE, he fumes, "Who is she talking about? That’s not Paul. There is no way he would say such a thing.
"This is the same man who had three children with LINDA (McCartney’s late first wife)."

Influential British designer ZANDRA RHODES is stunned model KATE MOSS has been recruited to launch her own fashion line for British High Street chain Topshop, because she is convinced the catwalk star is talentless when it comes to designing.
The supermodel will be paid £3 million ($5.65 million) to lend her name to a range of items at British fashion store Topshop, but the pink-haired style veteran, who also designs for Topshop, has deemed Moss’ involvement as merely superficial.

When Roundhill began waving the poems penned by Moss and Doherty in front of attendees, Scottish poet JOCK SCOTT and rock fraterniser shouted, "Free poems by Pete Doherty!" After a flurry of excitement, the prized papers were dispersed between the crowd. Roundhill, who helped Doherty establish his website BalaChada.com in 2005 and has previously sold works by the troubled BABYSHAMBLES frontman, was said to be "livid’.

Paul was married to Linda for 28 years until her death in 1998, and the couple were seen as one of the strongest celebrity pairings.
A source close to McCartney says, "This is a step too far. Next she’ll be saying she’s discovered a new colour.

Supermodel KATE MOSS is reportedly expecting a baby with her rocker partner PETE DOHERTY, according to the BABYSHAMBLES frontman’s uncle.
PHIL MICHELS claims the former LIBERTINES star broke the news during a phonecall from Italy on Friday (20OCT06), with Moss expected to make an official announcement in the next few weeks.
Michels says Moss has had a scan, and the couple are delighted by the news and plan to wed as soon as possible.

SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES’ classic HONG KONG GARDEN became a breakfast anthem on the set of historical epic MARIE ANTOINETTE after director SOFIA COPPOLA discovered the song helped wake her cast and crew up.
The filmmaker filled the soundtrack with punky anthems from acts like ADAM & THE ANTS and BOW WOW WOW and played many of the tunes she chose for the film as she shot scenes.
And the cast fell in love with Hong Kong Garden, which features in a banquet scene, because the hit would wake them up during early morning shoots.
KIRSTEN DUNST, who portrays French queen Marie Antoinette in the film, says, "Sometimes we would play music and that would evoke different feelings. At the party Sofia had the Siouxsie and The Banshees song playing.
"It was great because when you’re shooting at eight in the morning, when you just got done with tons of hair and make-up and wardrobe, and everyone’s a little tired, the energy from music like that really helps.

Former DALLAS heart-throb PATRICK DUFFY has blasted the forthcoming movie version of the 80s TV show as "crap".
Duffy, who played BOBBY EWING in the hit show, was the centrepiece of the show’s most memorable and far-fetched storyline, when he reappeared in the show despite dying in a car-crash the previous season - bosses simply wrote off Duffy’s death as on-screen wife PAM EWING’s ‘dream’.
But Duffy is not convinced the film will be a success, despite attracting big name stars such as JOHN TRAVOLTA, who will play oil tycoon J.R. EWING.
He says, "I think they’ll discover Dallas is better left how it was.
I got a sneak peek at a script - and I was like, ‘Wow! That’s crap!’"

Film director KIRILL SEREBRENNIKOV was celebrating last night (21OCT06) after his modern-day Russian film adaptation of WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE’s HAMLET won the top prize at the first international film festival in Rome.
PLAYING THE VICTIM, a family drama which centers on a young student who uncovers the mystery of his father’s death, was named the best film among the 16 entries in the competition - mostly art-house titles by new directors.
An acclaimed theatre director in his native Russia, Serebrennikov says, "We still believe that cinema can change people’s way of thinking and their consciences.
"I think my film is an artistic portrayal of what is passing through the minds of people in Russia today: terror, hope, insecurity."

Former sports star and actor O J SIMPSON will be paid around $3.5 million (£1.8 million) for ‘admitting’ to the killing of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman in a sensational new book.
